Hard to know either way. STA and other privates don't have to release that info to the state. More than likely he's on scholarship and this is just Canes making up stuff to calm the masses.

Yeah, I think most of these kids, at least the ones who will be playing Power5 football at the next level are scholarship players at these academies.
