'18 FL CB Tanner Ingle (UT commit 6/19/17)

Butch was telling the kid what the kid needed to hear. Any kid caught in a coaching change should look around. No guarantee the new staff will take them and could dump them at the last minute.

We just let loose two NFL DBs. I trust Pruitt to find good replacements. He recruits at an elite level.

But I think we might be foregoing better players down the road that need some developed for more ready made guys with less in the way of a high ceiling.

I guess being the new Alabama is an even trade off. We'll have less great NFL players down the road but we'll have more success in college football.

And I WILL MOST DEFINITELY accept CJP’s recruiting evaluations of players over yours any day of the week and twice on days that end in y.

Your track record of predictions and player evaluations are....you know like a strainer, they never hold water!!!!!

And further more.....if you knew half as much about football coaching and recruiting as you “think” you do then you should be on a top shelf staff somewhere, so why is it that your not???

Dude, don't question D4H.

His ability to watch 7 minutes of hudl "film" and predict a kids entire future football career (regardless of a lack of information about their personality or knowledge of how a kid plays on all the plays that aren't carefully handpicked to make him look good) is unprecedented.

Don't let the fact that he's missed on dozens of crazy predictions before misguide you.

Oh no’s........ I didn’t know I was entirely missing his hidden talent and where he got his info from....... I’m sooooooo sorry for misjudging the way I did and making a complete a$$ of myself. I apologize.....

I don’t know how to do that blue font shizzle, but boy if I did. ⬆️ 🍻🍻

D4H gone D4H

This is actually one time I agree with D4H. I love this kid. Although, a little on the small side, he is a pure football player. Great special teams player. Blocks kicks and a great returner, who takes 'em to the house. Fearless hitter, despite his size, great instincts, like I said, just a true football player. He's been compared to Mathieu, the Honey Badger and I think that's a dead-on comparison. Now, I wouldn't say Ingle was a lock to make the NFL, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did. Imo, Ingle would be fun to watch at UT and be a damn good college football player. But, I'm sure CJP knows more than me and this kid doesn't fit his plans. Too bad. I wish this kid nothing but the best and I will root for him wherever he goes, except if he happens to play a game against UT.

With Coach Pruitt using the Alabama model for building our program we should see a lot more success for our players in college.

But I doubt we'll ever see the elite NFL talent we had on the 2015-16 Vols teams. Those squads will go down in history as among the most loaded with future NFL stars.

Just watch it happen. I bet we win the national title in 2020 with mostly guys Jeremy Pruitt recruits the next 3 classes. And I bet we'll have more players develop into NFL stars from the 2016 Vols that went 9-4 than the 2020 Vols that win the national title.

Who are you taking about....one player is blowing up, who else...nobody

Dobbs, Kamara, Hurd, Sutton, DKjr., Bituli, and Warrior will all be perennial pro bowlers in the NFL.

Doubt we ever have a team that has 7 all-pro/pro-bowl caliber players on the same team at the same time.

So far Coach Pruitt has turned away 3 of my favorite commits from the 2018 class when it came to pro prospects. I really liked Tanner Ingle, Brandon Cross, and Jamarcus Chatman as future NFL players.

He's right. Alabama has a history of not putting players in the league.
