'18 FL WR Jacob Copeland (Florida signee)

I do not think UA is a threat at this point. As I mentioned UA wants 2 more WRs (at least according to those in know FWIW) Ross(top instate) and Waddle (who we hired his primary recruiter from aTm) seem to be the top choices. We just received some CBs for both to UA today.

I think Copeland ends up at UT. JMO

Likely why Barton CB him to us and he is betting on Pruitt closing better than Mullen

And now, you’re my favorite rival poster.

Copeland prolly planned on committing to UT all along. Maybe he did not like bammer as much as you think!

I'd rather use this spot on the other side of the ball. Give me Taylor and Young and lettuce roll.

doesn't it depend on "who" though? i mean if you're down to that last spot and it's down to Copeland vs. Taylor-stuart, langham, miller...yeah, i could see that being the case.

not sure that's going to be the case though. i think if copeland wants in, there's a spot for him.

Sure that could be true but we have 7 spots. 7. If the staff's efforts really pay off I'm not leaning toward Copeland.

well i don't necessarily disagree. i think they definitely want to beef up the DL some more....but not at the expense of best available.

Young
Peterson
Quay
Griffin

i'll just say i think those are "most" likely as it stands right now, knowing those last two could go other directions....but for the sake of argument, if that's how it unfolds....then...

C Miller
ITS
Langham

i think would have to be next three up and would all be takes over Copeland (and anyone else)..... and if any/all of those fall thru.....

then you get in to the OO, Mincey, other miller, Corbin, Grants etc, etc, etc.....and copeland would probably be a take over any of those, and they'd fill any remaining spots with the best available.

but who knows they way they're offering, and who they're getting to come on OV's this and next weekend.......

let's just say the situation is fluid..........:eek:lol:

From Rivals:

Jacob Copeland

The destination: Alabama

A one-time Florida commit, Copeland is coming off a visit to Texas A&M. His trip to Alabama will be an interesting one, as the Tide are already considered the ever-so-slight favorite to land the four-star receiver. The weekend will be about erasing doubt from Copeland and making a lasting impression that will linger beyond his scheduled visit to Florida on Feb. 2. The Gators being gifted Copeland’s final visit shouldn’t be dismissed as insignificant, and it makes Nick Saban’s weekend task more difficult.

From SEC Country:

Jacob Copeland, 4-star WR, Escambia (Pensacola, Fla.)

Jacob Copeland has been a major priority for Alabama for several months now. His decision will likely come down to Alabama, Florida or Tennessee. Copeland told SEC Country earlier in January that he likely would have committed to the Tide if Jeremy Pruitt remained on staff. Pruitt is now at Tennessee and that’s what has the Volunteers strongly in the mix.

I believe Alabama is going to land either Copeland or Jaylen Waddle, a 4-star prospect, on signing day. Both are being recruited as slot receivers. Right now, I lean toward Waddle.

Also can’t discount the fact that Pruitt still has his in-home to use at some point next week. I’m sure he’ll bring the house... Rumph, Gillespie, and David Johnson

Let's just say, based upon past performance, whoever we get will be much better than what CBJ brought to the table. CJP knows what championship players look like, he has already done an outstanding job in recruiting, assistant coaches know how to recruit and the staff is working overtime.

I really don't care if we get Copeland or not. If he does not come it will be his loss not ours. I believe, at this point, CJP will bring in the players that will get us a championship in a few years. All the signs point that way ...
