You base that off of an offer to a kid who happened to be recruited by him? :ermm:

Yep sure did and I went back and read up on the guy and saw that he coached with Pruitt at FSU. You never know. Just seems interesting that this kid just popped up out of no where and is visiting this weekend.

Newberg says all FSU but hope you guys can pull him from Taggart the great

Makes sense. Longtime Oregon commit. Decommited after Taggart left. He likely ends up at FSU and is just enjoying the process and taking visits.

Still, if he comes to UT, there’s a chance...

Has Taggart made a splash in the state recruiting wise?

Not at all yet imo.

But I don't want to be one of those fans that gives my new coach a full cycle and point out flaws for others new coach early. We'll know more about him 19' cycle.

Hey BassMaster Vol:

Field of candidates for Vols WR coaching vacancy narrows to three

By John Brice

Posted on January 10, 2018

Jeremy Pruitt has narrowed the field of candidates for his wide receivers’ coaching vacancy to three barring an unexpected contender emerging according to multiple sources in college football and on Rocky Top. A pair of candidates with deep Atlantic Coast Conference ties and an in-state assistant coach have interviewed for what, right now, is the final position on Pruitt’s inaugural staff.

Former Florida State assistant/co-offensive coordinator Lawrence Dawsey, Memphis wide receivers coach David Johnson, and North Carolina State assistant head coach for offense/recruiting coordinator Des Kitchings have emerged from a crowded field of would-be candidates.

I just don't see how Kitchings makes any sense at all. I mean his entire resume is nothing by RB coach jobs. I know Pruitt said yesterday that Gillespie could coach WR, but the same would be true of him. Let's go get a true WR coach. Am I missing something here?

Johnson, imo

I'm skeptical. FSU folks are very confident. Can't cross him off though. He knows he can see the field early here, will get an in-home from Pruitt later this month.

Think UT has a better shot at another Florida WR: Antoine Green

Suck it gamecocks.

As an aside... why would anyone want to play at usce over UT. Only explanation is we HAVE to be telling these kids were full, like we did Treveon Johnson.
