Coach Fair was in there today along with coaches from Clemson and Florida. South Carolina is coming in later this week.

He was at South Carolina last weekend for an official.

He is not signing next week. His plan is to sign in February.

He has a visit scheduled to Alabama in January. Also likely to visit Clemson and Ohio State which means Tennessee and Florida are trying for that final visit.

He said he was impressed with coach Fair meeting him today. Obviously, he knows coach Pruitt. But doesn't know anyone else and is trying to build a relationship with them to see how he fits with their style.

“The plan for me is to sign in February,” the 6-1, 170 pound Horn said. “Anyone who comes in still has a chance.”

“Coach Fair was by the school and we had a good visit,” Horn said. “He leaves a pretty good impression. His resume speaks for itself. He was a first round draft pick and starting as a freshman at Tennessee.”

“Things are still the same. Schools are starting to recruit me hard,” Horn offered. “With Tennessee it's about building relationships. I have a pretty good relationship with coach Pruitt and just met coach Fair. “Clemson, Ohio State, Florida, South Carolina and now Tennessee are recruiting me the hardest.”

Horn saw South Carolina officially last weekend. He has an official visit set for Alabama in January. “I will also mostly likely visit Clemson and Ohio State,” Horn said. “Then my last visit will probably be between Florida and Tennessee. Coach Grantham at Florida has recruited me as much as anyone since he got there.”

“It is what it is. Coaching changes are a part of the game,” Horn said. “You gotta go somewhere and play. You gotta sign somewhere in February. I'm just letting everyone recruit me and make the best decision for me.”

Considering his willingness to commit to us previously (obv likes the university), coupled with our much improved coaching staff with defensive backgrounds, you have to feel pretty good about our chances.

Waiting until February gives our guys plenty of time to build the relationship he's seeking.

I know he was only around for a year but what were you guys thoughts on charlton warrens recruiting? Coaching wise I see he was pretty solid at UNC improved they’re pass defense a good bit

Serviceable but didn't really turn any thing around. Gaulden really improved, Mosley did about what we expected, people were high on Justin Martin in fall camp but we learned during the first game he was still bad, shaq Wiggins was a real disappointment. Then we had one good safety and one bad safety. Last year was so dysfunctional I don't think you can fairly judge Warren.

I typed all of that out before I realized you said recruiting. Recruiting wise who knows. He wasn't around for a NSD.

Isn't that surprising. He is really close to Nixon and a few other SC kids and also has a great relationship with T-Rob which he mentioned even when he committed to us.

We didn't "lose" him to USC. He is significantly more comfortable with them and there isn't enough time to build that relationship here when Pruitt and Bama slow played him and UGA never really pursued him.

Don't like the fact that he said all along he was signing in February, and then signed in December, but best of luck to the kid. Hope we make him wish he signed with us.

Which means not too many teams are in contact. Only ones was uscE and UT (to some degree with the new staff.

That’s what I’m thinking. He OVed to USC the weekend of the 9th and then took an unofficial visit this past weekend. I don’t think we even tried to make contact.
