"Is the end in sight for Azeez Ojulari?
The 6-foot-3, 222 pound defensive end out of Marietta (Ga.) had a big spring with new offers arriving, strong visits to numerous schools and he could be close to making a decision.
He needs scratch that, he must see another school first.
"I just have to visit Florida before I do anything," said Ojulari. "Coach [Chris] Rumph (defensive line) and coach [Jajuan] Seider are on me almost every day about visiting them and getting me down there, so I have to visit them soon.
"I have not been able to make it down there yet, so it is important that I get there. I like coach Rumph and I can tell that he cares about his players and that he really likes me as a person. I want to see what Florida is like, so a visit in July is in the works."
The Gators are one of many schools in pursuit of the four star. He named a long list, but when he named the ones who he was talking to the most right now, those were Auburn, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
If you didn't notice, those schools all play in the SEC.
Ojulari has visited each of the schools outside of Florida at least once, so he has a good feel for those programs.
AUBURN: "It is all about family first there at Auburn. I get a lot of hand-written letters from them, I have a great relationship with coach [Tim] Horton (running backs) and I know coach [Rodney] Garner (defensive line) is a great coach. Coach Garner has put a lot of guys into the NFL, so that is big."
GEORGIA: "Georgia is just a great place. It is in my home state, I like the atmosphere there a lot and they are really pushing hard for me. I like coach [Dell] McGee (running backs), coach Kevin Sherrer (outside linebackers) and Kirby Smart is great. Graduating from Georgia is big after football."
SOUTH CAROLINA: "I really like coach [Will] Mushcamp a lot and he is a great defensive coach. When I was up there with him, he broke down film with me, he showed me guys he has coached and he compared me to Dante Fowler (former first round pick). I like the coaches there and I think I could compete for playing time early."
TENNESSEE: "I talk to a lot of Tennessee coaches and they are great guys. Me and coach [Brady] Hoke (defensive line) had a good relationship and he likes me a lot as a player. I have been up there twice so far and I love the atmosphere. The people are great there and I always have fun there."
Next up, Ojulari will see the Swamp so he can compare it to the schools he has seen before. Will he feel comfortable there? How will he fit in? The No. 13-ranked defensive end in the country hopes to have those questions answered soon.
"After the visit to Florida, I will really be able to start thinking about how soon I want to commit," said Ojulari. "I just can't look at that until I take the visit."
