'18 GA DE Jamarcus Chatman (Former UT commit 6/25/17)

SMH, IDK that we see another "Barnett" anytime soon. He wasn't the largest or fastest but damn his techinique and ability to disengage from his man was ridiculous. I think he'll be a monster in the league. I just don't see that type of player falling in our laps for a while.

Crazy motor too. Was always running to the ball. He could be the backside end on a jet sweep that goes for 10-15 yards and you can bet he'd be somewhere around the ball by the time he was tackled.

If he ever gave up on a play during his 3 years at UT, I didn't see it.

Barnett's bend was absurd. It was like volatil was taking his picture every time he rushed the passer.

siap, but that other year that Butch jones was the coach here.

Kahlil 5
Phillips 4
Tuttle 4
Butcher 4
Taylor 4
Picou 3, and somewhat relevant, Buford grad.

*Emerson 4/5
*Davis 4
*Chatman 4
Litaker 4
Lawless 4
and maybe one more 4.

Tuttle can be Dominate when healthy

If Chatman doesn't want to leave his friend , let Chatman go and move onto the next imo . Since Griffin is not going to be take .

I bet VT pushes for both, Griffin's brother is at VT. Anderson is worth a package-he's the #1 LB in the nation, Chatman is not worth an extra scholly. That's why all 3 were pressured to commit to LSU, Ed O told them if you commit right now, your buddy gets a free ride as well.

Now, UT needs to get Anderson on campus (with Griffin) and offer up the same deal. But, if I'm Griffin, I want my own merits being recognized and somewhere I could actually play, but that's just me.

Yeah just go back and watch the VT game. That man was the most disruptive player on the field. When he out ran the QB and back to recover that bad snap,my lord someone that big should not be that fast too. If he is healthy this season it will be a very interesting year on the defensive side of the ball

That's why I said I am not talking about him specifically, just the overall 3 star recruits we have been getting. That is why I said, you would not want to have a high percentage of 3 star or lower players making up your team.

Again, not saying he is not or will not be quality player, just number of 3 stars we have been getting.

Does that mean you value the recruiting site assessments over all the coaching staffs that have evaluated and offered him. Given LSU and coach o's history of high quality NFL worthy DL talent, he is a great recruit regardless of any recruiting site. Jmo.

I believe you have Griffin and Chatman reversed.

His mom seems to be pushing him to the Vols....

It's worded a bit oddly, but he has it right. He's saying Anderson AND Chatman are worth taking Griffin, but Chatman alone isn't worth taking Griffin. Also, that the package deal essentially hurts Griffin since he'll just ride the pine at a major program as he would be labeled dead weight from day one.
