'18 GA LB Quay Walker (UGA signee)

I’m still very hopeful here...Pruitt knows how to close guys like this out. It’s not over till the pen is on the paper.

Agree. I don't think the typical fan understands how much the early signing period has impacted the ones that didn't sign in December. The ones that didn't sign are being bombarded by some of the top coaches/salesmen in college football. Quotes from parents are starting to trickle out that they just want it to be over. Could easily be some last minute changes in decisions.

I agree and I think the next ESD will be bigger than this year.

I think it will be waves smaller. Novelty factor wears off and it’s intention of allowing kids who KNOW where they want to go comes into play more. There are a larger number who don’t in December imo.

Morning update on the raido - Callahan said more buzz for UGA yesterday. Says Georgia feels good and Tennessee isn't out.

don't think he's coming to TN. To me, it looks like what were seeing is an inability to close guys like this out. We'll see how the class finishes out but it's looking like it will be average at best. 7th or 8th in the SEC.

Yes, Pruitt has not been on the job that long. Thankfully we had a solid early signing period. I will reserve any further comment until this class is wrapped up today.

Every indicator on 247 & Rivals is this is not going to be an exciting NSD.

GO VOLS!!!

Yes really wtf you talking about lol

They have Jake Fromm and a healthy Nick Chubb when we got lucky and beat them on a Hail Mary? They also had another top 3 freshman class on the team that helped mopped the floor with Tennessee last year. Not to mention a year of development. The Georgia team last year was not the same team we beat two years in a row. They went 8-5 in 2017. How'd they end up last year hoss?

Why don’t you just go cheer for Georgia then? You’ve been so negative on here lately geez

Lol guess it’s time for all the UT haters to jump back on the UGA bandwagon.

Who gives a f*** about what they’re doing?

Looking more like he’s UGA bound smh

Nothing new has happened. Don't panic until it's over. If I am a kid I would probably lead people one direction and then go the other. I would be cracking up with how obsessed people are and play them hard tbh.

Still feel like we offer way more immediate opportunity for playing time. Seems like that was important to him throughout most of this process.

And it cannot be overstated how much behind the curve the early signing day put us. You're going to comment on an inability to close...you're crazy. The early signing day helped coaches already at their jobs and killed schools that made coaching changes, ESPECIALLY considering the damage done to us by the ineptitude of one John Currie. He waited far too long to fire Butch, and made an absolute mess of the hiring process. These are all things that have affected Pruitt and this staff in the recruiting process. They've been pulling to this school for right around two months...you cannot make a judgement on their "inability to close" because they've not really had the chance to open. Now, if we see this after a couple seasons (remember, we just went 0-8 in conference and are NOT considered the UT of old) then we can see trouble down the road. Not at the end of the day today.

Also, on the early signing day they jumped like 40 spots in the rankings and signed a few unexpected really good prospects with only about 2 weeks to recruit them. So obviously they can't close. :)

Exactly! Obviously if these guys don't pull Surtain and Campbell and everyone else they're terrible. :eek:lol::eek:lol:

What has happened with the other GA targets?

That should give us some indication where this one stands

Still trying to close with Campbell, Walker, Davis, Reese, Walthour and Bush. Looks like Sandidge will pick South Carolina.

The early signing period appears to have upped the intensity on the top recruits who didn't sign early. The coaches that were called last night and told "Yes" are not totally convinced "Yes" means "Yes" and are keeping their foot on the gas. The coaches that were called and told "No"; aren't taking "No" for an answer and are doing everything they can to get the kids to change their mind. May be a crazy day.
