According to the predictive feature Kirby Smart and company are now favored to land Crisp County (Cordele, Ga.) outside linebacker Quay Walker. Currently an Alabama pledge, Walker has taken official visits to Auburn, Tennessee, and UGA as well as Tuscaloosa. The Bulldogs, however, got the last crack by hosting him the weekend before National Signing Day.

This is what happens when you need a big splash hire and do the opposite. I hope Pruitt does great here but he’s gonna have to show results on the field as a HC before he lands big time recruits. Next year’s class will be more telling. He gets a pass this year

Sure didn't hurt Kirby his first year. Pruitt was a very good hire.

In this league you have to have the same talent level imo to beat Bama and UGA. I think Pruitt knows that. 2019 will be the class for the foundation of our massive comeback. Pruitt walked into a morgue but he will change it into a crack house.

Or maybe the Early Signing Period hurt us and helped out the coaches who were already on the job for a year or so.

Also it’s not Pruitt’s fault that Currie & Butch screwed up this program when he got here.

We weren't talking roster we were talking recruiting. Absolutely Kirby walked into a gold mine and much better situation. But I was commenting on recruiting first year.

Tell that to Ole Miss. They beat Ala back to back years and should have won 3 straight. Coaching and development is just as big of a factor.
