Both plays were unlikely. Was one more unlikely than the other? Possibly. How is it not lucky that our DB just quit on the play? You could argue that Georgia gagged too by not knocking the ball down. It was a great throw by Eason on their TD and a great throw by Dobbs and an even better catch by JJ. Their play was just as much a Hail Mary as ours was.

But, go ahead and keep sniffing Kirby's jock. He is a better coach than Butch and better right now than Pruitt. I think Georgia is good but they are far from invincible and they do lose some starters. Fromm is legit, but let's see if he can continue to improve. He may have peaked already.

Not really. 50 yard bombs happen fairly often. Hail Marys do not.

They are probably a bit more informed than someone following a TN message board.

After all the "smokescreens" we went through on the Gruden search, I don't buy anyone claiming drama has been built up to make something look better when things aren't going the way they want them too.

Unless you're on a Butch Jones coached team you don't peak as a freshman. He'll get better each year.

He didn't do anything to even warrant getting fired. Supposedly Kirby wanted the TN job bad when Butch was hired but he wasn't established enough at that point. Kirby wasn't being offered big name jobs despite constantly being interviewed. He wasn't turning down elite jobs because he wasn't being offered.

Oh Ok I wasn't sure of the story. Finebaum said Kirby wanted the Vol job but UT didn't think he was ready or something along those lines. That was so long ago I never even remember Kirby's name coming up in the search.
