Success in the NFL is nice, but wins in the Orange and White is really all I care about.

Tee Martin and Casey Clausen accomplished nothing in the NFL, but they brought the wins here

Same with Shuler. I could care less about what a UT player does in the NFL. I am much more concerned about what he does in college.

I don't want elite COLLEGE QBs who turn out to be busts in the NFL.

John David Booty
Matt Lienart
Mark Sanchez

Only exception is Carson Palmer.

I want Peyton Mannings.

Matt Cassel is also in there. When your backups are getting drafted into the league, you now you're doing something right. I would take USC's run with college QBs.

Remembering when Branndin Stewart signed the same year as Peyton Manning. I'm sure glad we didn't let our fear of losing Stewart keep use from signing Peyton. Also remembering when our back up QB, Pat Ryan played for the Jets.

If anyone knows just how good Trevor Lawrence is, it would be his primary target on offense. Lawrence is a 5-star quarterback from Cartersville High School who is rated as the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect for 2018.
That person who knows how good Lawrence is? That would be Miller Forristall, a 3-star tight end from Cartersville High School, who spoke to the AJC on Wednesday. The Alabama commit didn’t hold back when prompted for his honest assessment of the 6-foot-5, 191-pound sophomore quarterback.
“Well, I’ll start with this,” Forristall said. “I went to The Opening this year and I threw with the best of the best. And I swear to you this, you could bring Trevor Lawrence out there this year and he could compete with all those kids. Not a doubt in my mind he can go out there and throw with the best of them.”
For perspective, 5-star quarterbacks Jacob Eason (Wash.) and Shea Patterson (Fla.) were in attendance for The Opening recruiting event earlier this year.

He will be a Vol with 2 goals in mind...break all of his idol's records and do something his idol never did...win a NC.

I'll take elite college football QBs all day. We are cheering for a college team after all. Success in the NFL is a bonus, not the goal.

Am I right in saying we are way out in front here? Seems like that is what I read somewhere along the way on this kid.
