What gives you this hope?

lot of factors... this offense is perfect for him, he's got a ton of talented competition (not saying he's afraid of competition, but it is a factor), grew up a Vol fan, CJP and the guys going to break down his front door recruiting him...

I mean i know it's a long shot, but the staff will certainly give him something to think about. I imagine Dabo isn't sleeping easy on TN recruiting these days....

Agreed. A very long shot. But I think it would help a lot if we could get Mays on board sooner rather than later.

I dont think Lawrence will flip. But I hope Pruitt and the staff do whatever they can to try. If you are gonna go down, go down swinging.

idk man. We get a couple flips. We can sell him on PT/System/Development. Clemson's stacked at QB. Kids too talented to want to ride the bench three years.

Taken from another thread (regarding our new OC Heltons scheme):

It creates mismatches using various formations. He's tweaked a few things from Brohm's air raid system. Helton likes using multiple TEs and running backs in power formations. System reminds me of what Atl is doing now with trips WR or Diamond sets. Loves tunnel screens and deep ball. He definitely study Kiffin and Sarkisian. Also great with QBs and really good recruiter. His name is starting to get NFL looks for his QB coaching.

If the above is true, then I'm sorry but it would almost be foolish for Lawrence to not give the Vols a very serious look these next few days/weeks. You can love Dabo all you want, but the above sounds like the perfect offense for TL. Couple that with playing time possibilities, and a history of loving the university etc....

Idk, I've got my fingers crossed.

There's been several tweets about Pruitt reaching out to currently committed, highly ranked players, as well as articles about him contacting Martinez and Penix... has there been any mentions of him contacting Lawrence?

Trevor grew up loving Tennessee and worshipping Peyton. The addition of Fulmer at AD and Helton and Weinke to the offensive staff, and finally Coach Pruitt's closing power, we have a shot at both Trevor and Mays.

Clemson is loaded at QB and Tennessee's current situation is as wide open as Jimmy Haslam's mouth over the events of the past week. (Thanks, Coach Fulmer!)

I know this thread has been on fire as of late but is there actually any idication from the kid that he’d be open to considering us again?

Someone committed to Clemson today and TL retweeted and was excited. I think our chances are slim to none. I hope I’m wrong.
