'18 GA S Trevon Flowers (Tennessee signee)

In a press conference, CJP said that Flowers wants to go to school and play football. He doesn't see him skipping out for baseball

I played center fielder and right field in HS and also played football... I got a scholarship for both. I use to play right field get a grounder hit to me and throw the guy out at first... Track a ball down and make over the shoulder diving catches...

But there is no better feeling then hitting the SH !+ out of a WR running across the middle (played Safety)... Some people don't like it, I get it.

Did you by any chance bench press 750 pounds the very first time you ever lifted weights?

No, and all of it was 100% true. I was typing it as if it was impressive... Every outfielder on our team could do the same thing. Don't get offended.

Inside joke and you’re an outfielder. :)

Sounds like, This is a type player with unlimited talent that has a Raw Skill set that is teachable. Should be an invaluable contributor on the field maybe not immediately but sooner than most would anticipate. At least there is a staff to work with.

Todd Helton played well in both sports. I think he picked the correct one.One will have to see which one is the best for Flowers. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Yeah he was joking about another guy that basically said something about bench pressing cars or some
Crap in here. It wasn't toward you

I figured the staff would get their grimes paws on thee kids and figure out how all the square pegs looked like they were hammered into the triangle holes. That’s why I haven even bothered to try and put a depth chart together.

I think butch recruited better for 34 than his own system honestly. So may not be to bad off.

Yes. Randy Wallace and Alan Cockrell are a couple of other QB who played both well.

Cockrell was heading for all SEC before tearing up his knee, he came back but was never the same in those days when you tore a knee up that was the end most of the time.

My mother back in her playing days played softball and had a full ride to UT but tore her knee and wasn't the same after that. She ended up having like six knee surgeries. I had a friend in HS that tore up his knee, and he came back like nothing happened. It is amazing how far that surgery has come. Also, tommy johns surgery has progressed impressively as well.

Keith Davis worked for me years ago in Nashville. For those that don’t know, he was starting RB for us back in the mid 80s. When you go watch games from back then he had NFL talent for sure but blew both knees out. Nothing you could do about it back then, amazing what they can do now.

Yes, tell us all how awesome you SAY you were back in HS....

No. One. Cares.

he looks like a pure Safety to me....and a good one.

And since the 4* Safety Nikko Hall from Cali (that we put alot of recruiting effort and time into) couldn't get his schoolwork up to par, we were looking kinda thin on Safety depth. And actually quite thin on Safeties for the next phase of our "defensive transition" past year 1 of the #PruittEra. So this kid was really seeming to be a "need" in my opinion for this 1st recruiting class for this staff. Solid, naturally athletic Safety pickup late in the game. I like this kid's potential in our lineup. If he picks the schemes up good enuf in his Freshman year, then I'd say he projects as a starter in the secondary possibly as a Sophmore. Hopefully anyways.......

Agree. Very high ceiling on this one. Especially with good coaching. Fair and Kelly will do wonders transforming him into a legit DB - especially with Sherrer and Pruitt chipping in their expertise too. Pruitt's best teaching attribute is his ability to coach up and teach DBs, so I'd say Pruitt will personally help chip in his two-cents to help get this kid to his potential. Turn him from a naturally athletic college Baseball player, to an SEC starting caliber DB.

I used to work with Keith at Dell back in the day. Outgoing guy.
