'18 GA S Trevon Flowers (Tennessee signee)

I don’t know how you could take something like “he can move into multiple positions and always is looking to get his hands on balls” out of context.

I just wonder if he’s a switch hitter....

Pitcher or a catcher?

This is another kid the staff is very high on. They think he can play anywhere in the secondary and excel. Sounds like a tremendous athlete.

Heard he didn't play any football in high school until his senior year! For him to get noticed and get 3 stars in just one season is pretty impressive to me. May just have a steal here.

Safety and inside at the nickel. Tracks the ball like a baseball player. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him deep roaming and Warrior up on the slot at times. Kid has Malik Hooker feel to his game.

Because he is a baseball player. Flowers has all the tools to be a Deon Grant like free safety. The key, imo, will be whether he plays like a baseball player or a football player that happens to also play baseball. In other words, does he like contact, does he want to knock a WRs d!ck in the dirt or does he avoid contact.

I know he’s a baseball player. That’s why I stated it.... He also hits well. Kid is good on the backend and should play early.

Is MLB baseball going to be a nagging fear for us with this kid?

I think that would depend on where and if he is drafted by MLB this spring. If he bypasses baseball before entering college the next time he is eligible to be drafted would be after his Jr. season or 3 years out of HS. If he were drafted in the first round, no idea how good or what his projection is for the draft, would be pretty hard to turn down that money, but after the first couple of rounds the money to sign drops way off.

War Room says Theo Jackson is getting a look at corner. What’s your thoughts?

I was talking to a coaching freeing about why more center or right fielders do not get picked up for football. I know I always look for that. You learn to track better and you learn to be more fluid with your hips (if you do it right)... Super excited about this kid.

In the film I have seen, he looks to be a head hunter and breaks very fast on the ball. I am not worried about him being willing to separate a receiver/runner from the ball.

I believe he is a mid to late round guy in the draft. I think we are in good shape with him being here for at least 3 years.

He is not in the top 50 of prospects available to be drafted this year. Anything can happen with a strong spring.

I really want to see what this kid can do on a football field though.

I know an MLB scout in that area and he says he is coming to school. Loves him but he isn't that high of a $ guy yet he said

Because they may not like hitting people. Lol

This. I played Centerfield and when asked to join football team my senior yr I declined. Wasn't about to lose my shoulder or any other body part hitting when we had a critical baseball season coming.
I played center fielder and right field in HS and also played football... I got a scholarship for both. I use to play right field get a grounder hit to me and throw the guy out at first... Track a ball down and make over the shoulder diving catches...

But there is no better feeling then hitting the SH !+ out of a WR running across the middle (played Safety)... Some people don't like it, I get it.
