You are complaining about a Defensive Coordinator turned HC that specialized in Defensive Backs letting go two recruits that he didn't feel fit his strategy to go after one he had evaluated. I would understand your confusion except for the fact that defensive backfield is CJP's specialty!

I’ll point out some facts for you:

Fact: Butch Jones lost it
Fact: Currie turned us into a circus
Fact: Fulmer provided stability
Fact: Pruitt is a legendary recruiter and football coach
Fact: Goon squad
Fact: He’s been on the job less than 2 weeks
Fact: The system is changing so git shirts are happening
Fact: We flipped 2 4*’s today so far
Fact: February signing day hasn’t happened yet

We will finish at least in the top 20 and probably close to #15. Struggling? Hardly.

Hope you are right...

Pruitt is hardly legendary tho... we are sitting behind 11 teams in the sec right including teams who also have coaches in place for 12-20 days. (Florida, MSU, TAM, Ole Miss...) I’m happy where we are and think we can have a nice class but let’s not pretend our coach is absolutely killing it!

For being here 12 days, he is killing it. Though I agree on pumping the brakes on legendary. For the way things have fallen apart with our class, he is way ahead of what I thought we would do.

Absolutely things are looking great and truly I’m trying not to get my hopes up like we all did with BJ. Hope Pruit can continue to do a good job and compete well next year!

I’d say today is a great start but hope we can get our class back to where is was pre season.

We’ve flipped 2 4*’s today and are actually in great shape with several others for NSD and this is all with a partial staff and limited days to contact. I’m excited again with this staff and I’m looking forward to see what they can do when completely assembled.

The cat uses the name long suffering vol. Fulmer's in on it too. It's a conspiracy thing funded by UGA and UF to render us beatable and they're paying Pruitt $20mil to do it because he'll never coach again when we prove it !:eek:lol:

I don't know what you mean by pre-season but at one time we got up around 5-6 on 24/7's rank in recruiting. We'll do well to get inside the top 20. I just want some decent OLinemen who want to get stronger. What good's a 5* QB if he barely has time to make a hand-off?

I think we were up around 5-6 before our abysmal season started and guys started looking else where. I totally agree on the linemen that was a huge fault and deficiency of butches recruiting along with lack of development.

We definitely have playmakers if we can sure up the lines might be better than we expect.

Still puzzled by the Florida CB we turned away though
