Would have been a player in this system. Should’ve gone to A&M.

My wife flew on a plane with him into dfw and he made his sister drive him around the gate until I showed up to pick my wife up so I could meet him. I really wished and wish him all the best.

His family was at the Texas Roadhouse in OKC the weekend of our game with OU...fun, likable bunch

Kid reminds me of Chris Weatherd

I wonder how he compares size and speed wise. Apparently Allen started off as a DB and WR. Once he got to JUCO, his coaches basically just tried to set him up to use his athleticism and get after the QB. So it seems like he'd probably fit in as an OLB for us on paper at least, but you've always gotta wonder about OLBs like this who have basically just skated by on good athleticism and speed rushing.

On one hand, maybe he's athletic enough to be a Javon Kearse. On the other, maybe he's just an up-jumped safety who feasted on JUCO OTs with slow feet.

Pruitt is an excellent defensive coach....he ain’t a miracle worker.

Kongbo might be a better fit as a 3-4 DE than as a 4-3 DE though.

I don't expect him to be a world beater, but I'm hoping he can be somewhat productive in a role where he doesn't have play the edge as much.

He should, SHOULD, be much better suited to be a 3-4 DE. He is not suited to be an edge rusher at all.

So, we had his last visit. Could he be another surprise commit? Dude can rush the passer.

Nebraska was expecting him to be in Lincoln this past weekend. I feel as if he likes the "fit" at UT. If we can get the Malik Jackson type players in here,(the more, the merrier), we can turn this defense around in JP's 1st year and that's saying something. Allen and hopefully JJ Peterson would be a dynamic start.

As fans, we at UT have had offensive minded head coaches as our head coach for a long, long time. I, like many, scratch my head over some things already taking place in recruiting but a few posters in this thread said Pruitt wants to win in his 1st year and our defense looks to improve. I hope the offense can be productive next season. I hope we can get 2-deep on both lines with good players.

* JUCO defensive end Jordan Allen has been tough to track down since his unannounced OV to Tennessee this weekend. The Vols didn’t offer until a few days ago, but a source said the City College of San Francisco product will likely pick between TCU and Tennessee on Wednesday night.
