'18 JUCO TX CB Kenneth George Jr. (UT commit 3/25/18)

Depth and competition. Need both...stat.

3 years left. Lots of worse places to use this spot. Only other position I would have tried to do the same(and they did) would be OL.

I'm not really counting on George to do too much this year, but hopefully Pruitt and Co. can make something out of him by 2019. Can't help rooting for a kid with a story like his. If he ends up being pretty good for us, he'll likely draw a lot of national coverage because what it took for him to get here.

Interested to see where he ends up in the secondary.

I don’t know what to expect from this young man. But I do know you should never count out anyone who has the work ethic and discipline to get where he has, virtually on his own.

Pulling for this guy, just like I am for Jordan Allen. I'll take a kid with a solid worth ethic over 5 Stars any day.

Great story and all...but give me a Trey Smith/Nigel Warrior any day lol you don’t win championships without a lot of them.

Don't see stories like this often. Many kids prob give up in the dream just because they don't play in HS. Props for him not doing that and changing his body. A good staff can work with a kid with that work ethic. Hopefully the talent is there. Looks pretty good in highlights. Aggressive and physical which we don't have a lot of

👀

Just to be clear. You’d prefer a player who barely got to cover kickoffs in HS over a 5* player?

I mean, I want him to do well too, but let’s not get carried away. Colton Jumper and Nick Reveiz had a lot of heart, but I think if I’m drafting a team... I’m going with the Top end talent

So, what you’re saying is, you really want those 5 star hearts?

Not at all. Just saying some these kids that come out of JUCO like this kid and Allen play with chips on their shoulders I'd take them any day, they have something to prove versus a 5 star kid. I'd take a 5 star kid too who plays with a chip on his shoulder but those are hard to come by.

Would be a fantastic story for him to become a big time player, but I have to see it to believe it. Big time reach, and I’d love to be proven wrong. Ball’s in his court. Have at it

Truth is..it is easier to pull for a kid like this. Guys that outplay their expectations and have real gumption are easy to pull for.

That is why the underdog is always the hero.

I know it’s the least of our troubles, but maybe we could have kept Butch around as a fashion consultant for Pruitt, since we are paying him already

Not to mention that the vast majority of 5 stars have a great work ethic that helped them get that rating. They are usually blessed with size, speed and athleticism, but they still had to work hard to get that rating.
