Speaking of “diamond”, you catch all that Vitello failure this weekend? :)

You really should stay more up to date over there in that forum. Been discussing him all morning

Read up on the sweep. After-action reports on how much he cussed bore me. :boredom:

I know it’s honeymoon season and no one can question the staff, and I’m quite familiar with all the counter arguments so i’ll Just restate my long standing opinion and drop it...

I’m not a fan of taking JUCO’s who didn’t produce at a high level in HS.

Carry on :hi:

Agreed. This is clearly a big reach for a guy who hasn’t shown he can play yet. Then throw in the hit rate for JUCO players in general....kinda hard to get too excited here imo.

Yea, I do not see what Pruitt is doing with these Juco signees.

He can prove my doubts to be unwarranted when the season starts.

I'm more excited about this guy than any of the grad transfers we've taken. Granted it is a very low level of excitement that borders on meh. :) At least he has time to develop his potential.

You have never seen me complain about cussing. Check my post damn it. My mouth needs soap

You complained about his language a week ago and how it’s wrecking the program. And no...I’m not looking it up for you. :) He’ll succeed or fail beyond the scope of your purview.

True, 3 years to play 3. But I just assume we’re expecting him to contribute early if we’re taking a JUCO, especially if he counts vs the 2019 class (not sure which class he counts against tbh).

At this point unless one of the other blue shirt candidates don't make it in I believe he counts toward next year. But who really knows. He just seems to have more potential to contribute at some point than the grad transfers we've taken. I don't think we'll see much of them, but I could be wrong.

Chryst and London took the last two spots in “18. If everybody shows up, we’re at 22 spots next class.

You are lying. Please stop

I complained he allegedly directed comments at an opposing teams player. The language was irrelevant.

You mentioned it was cussing and you’ve mentioned it before. Just NOW realized how ridiculous you WERE? :)

Big “if,” but if he has similar contribution to someone like Von Pearson, then I’ll take it. 3 years is a plus. He doesn’t have to be a star, just be a solid player and contributer, get a handful of plays per game, or just be a situational player for certain packages. Any of that and it’s worth the scholarship.

A few thoughts on this pickup:

This team is severely lacking in depth across the board--taking this kid is indicative of how bad the depth problem is, IMO. I don't the fans understand how much of a problem depth is right now.

If Pruitt's taking the same type of kid two full recruiting cycles from now, then I'll get my panties in a wad.

It's fairly obvious that Pruitt wants to win this year, as opposed to mailing it in this year in another 4-8 season. Selling 2019/2020 recruits on the future of a 6 or 7 win program (as opposed to consecutive seasons of 4-8) is much easier, IMO.

I'll reserve judgment on this kid until we see if he can help on Saturdays this Fall.
