there's quite a big difference...

Everyone involved with Surtain knows his father has been leveraging his son to help land a job. Not that it is a big deal because the programs he is considering he will get to the NFL and if his father can get into coaching at an SEC program it will help him as well. Propst would take a job a job at UT or UA if offered without thinking twice. In both situations it would only help that program with a recruit. The only difference is Propst I do not believe would leverage a player for a position.

Why would they not as they have went full force but as mentioned after this weekend we will see how much we push on his visit next weekend. Right now UT leads but recruiting is fluid.

must be a Bama graduate... going full double negative with "have went" and zero punctuation... You have AL and UNC in your avatar, two schools who clearly do not care about mixing education, classes, and athletics lately...

You sure do know a lot of personal info about Surtain, his family, and especially Probst, with what he would and would not do... You must be friends or family... otherwise you are purely speculating. You do know what speculating is, right?

The other difference is Probst is arguably the most successful high school coach currently coaching at that level.

This year not nervous but next year I could see some being nervous.

I'm calling BS. Bammers are nervous now. Saban is pissed off because y'all are slacking in recruiting right now, in comparison to past years.

Not only that but Bama continues to have coaches poached. In the past that wasn't a big deal with the likes of Bobo, etc. But over the last couple of seasons y'all are losing big time coaches.

I know, I know, "Saban is the man" and he is in charge and he is the only one who matters but, that is wearing on a coach to have to continue to reload coaches.

Clemson is a powerhouse. Kirby has turned UGA into a big time program again. Jimbo and Mullen are pests and now UT is on the up tick. Its not as simple as it used to be for Bama just to get the pick of the litter. There is real completion for those players now. Especially down south.

Go ahead and act like your not worried about it. Thats how it all starts....

And the Tide is fluid too. CNS is getting closer to retirement and keeps losing good coaches and the waves coming in are not as big. The tide is starting to change and will feel the full force of the Volunteers soon.

Alabama isn't going anywhere. I'm confident in where this program is headed but we need to walk before we can run here. Alabama is the big dog and until some other program takes them down, everyone else is a puppy compared to them.

How do we know the tide is beginning to change? They just won their 5th national title in 9 years dude. There's no evidence that that program is going anywhere.

This is what any competitor to want, imo - to be the one to take down the big dog. That's why i never understand why folks want Saban to retire just to make it easier on UT. We should raise our game, not hope that everyone else lowers theirs... /rant

But it is. Old nick has about had enough but you live the negative. Our bagmen are back and we are coming and Pruitt is coming with hell and fury. May not be this year or next but it is coming DUDE. You growing any hair on that face or do you even have a dic? I smell puss in the air.

I'd agree. A competitor also knows his competition and doesn't pretend like they're just going to somehow fade away. People just like to pretend that Tennessee is the only program on the up and up and every other program is either overrated or on its way down. Call stuff for what it is.

You discuss that with Nick? He tell you he was about out of gas after winning his 5th title in 9 years? Quit pretending old man. You're probably too old else I'd just have to whip your arse if you asked me that in public 🤕

Not an english major so do not care. Plus I could only afford to go instate where I lived at the moment so it is what it is.

BTW I love how you used lately to not include UT there:lolabove:

This has to be some of the most defeatist attitude I've seen since your last post.

You seem to be the one nervous not me. I have been hearing about Saban going to the NFL, Saban retiring, the decline is started, and coaches leaving will kill the program for 10 years. Still waiting.

Please explain this statement. We currently are a top 5 class with only 17 commits. I guess not being currently #1 is slacking so what does that say about the rest of the SEC?

Not mention how many true freshman started the 2nd half to win another NC. But I guess the future is bleak here as well.

I’m notoriously rough on our guest posters with the fake Eddie Haskell type agendas as well as the obvious baiters, from what I’ve observed, you’re neither. Good football discussions. Just thought I’d pipe in. :hi:
