No 2010 guys should be there and few if any 2011 guys so this is his team at this point. He also inherited 51 scholarship players his first year, 4 of which were kickers and/or punters. So, 47 positional players is the definition of dumpster fire.

I never said that they were on this roster. But the last time I checked, Fuente turned the program around last year, which many of them were on. I believe they lost eight players off defense, and several are either on an NFL roster or in camps this year.

I am not saying anything negative about Fuente because he is a damn good coach, but the perception about having absolutely no talent is wrong. Larry Porter had one of Memphis' best recruiting rankings and had recruited a core group that had some talent. This year, they are doing it all on offense with a great QB. Their defense is horrible, but they are just out scoring opponents.

Doubtful. Their defense is pretty bad and they would not be able to stop our run game. Dobbs would look like a world beater against them. Our defense is good enough to handle them if everyone is healthy. I still think we would steamroll them.

You think our defense is better than Ole Miss? Cause stats say otherwise.

He's delusional, even by VN standards.

And it's not just stats that say that. Pollsters say that. Draft experts say that. Anyone who's watched a football game says that.

Lol. You guys like to think you know what you are talking about.

How do we act like we know what we're talking about? Porter's a great recruiter has been everywhere he's been, everyone knows that. Fuente would've had the 2011 kids, that didn't transfer, on the roster last year and maybe some 5th yr seniors from 2010, big maybe. Those Porter classes managed to go 4-8 as SO & JR in 2012 and 3-9 as JR & SR in 2013 so sorry if people are leery of how great they were.

The roster numbers at Memphis were pathetic when Fuente took over. Only having 51 returning players, and not having the ability sign 34 FR, is a blow and an indictment on West and/or Porter. Fuente had to "recruit" a ton of walkons just to have a roster from a numbers standpoint.

The Ole Miss defense hasn't been the same since they lost Tony Conner against Alabama. Ole Miss people will tell you that he was the leader and playmaker of the backend of that defense. They also lost CJ Johnson for 4-6 weeks and Gross at DT and another DT for the year. Then, they lost Nkemdiche in the first half against Memphis. It is simply not the same defense that started the year.

Plus, statistics mean nothing when we played Bowling Green and Oklahoma while they played Memphis and Fresno State.

I am willing to bet that A&M will score a lot of points.

Are you saying that the losses that Ole Miss incurred gave Memphis the advantage talent wise?

Brandon Hayes, Keiwone Malone, Martin Ifedi, Terry Redden, Ricky Hunter, Bakari Hollier, Regis Ball, Charles Harris, and Bobby McCain were all key contributors last year who were all there before Fuente. McCain now plays for the Dolphins. Malone and Redden were highly recruited local players.

Last year, the offense wasn't as good, and the defense kept them in some games. The defense had some very experienced players.

I am not saying that Fuente hasn't recruited and developed his own talent because he has. But last year, he had some good players he did not recruit. This year's defense was taking a step back regardless, and fortunately, the offense is good enough to win games.

.....so Memphis has superior talent as compared to Ole Miss

Malone was a transfer from Bama. Did he occur on Porter's watch or Fuente's? I don't know.

Their coach is better than our coach by a loooooooong way, and their QB is better than any QB in the SEC. Those two factors alone make your constant predictions of a blowout absurd.

Our RBs, TEs, WRs, defense, OL and special teams are much better. We steamrolled BG and they needed a miracle play to win. Lynch is a better passer but Dobbs is the much better athlete. Those factors make my oredictions of a blowout much more plausible. Keep thinking so lowly about a team you supposedly support though.

Are you honestly still clinging to a score differential in a BG game lol? Our best win was that BG game, and Memphis beat them on the road. They also beat Cincy, as good as any team we've beaten. They also beat Ole Miss, who is miles better than any team we've beaten.

It might be easier to take you seriously if you just predicted that we would beat Memphis, but to continuously act like we would blow them out is absurd- based on nothing but homerism and ignorance. Memphis will likely be a top 15 team tomorrow. We are 3-4.

So BG is a better win than GA? Lol

Georgia without Chubb? Yes, they are lol. I know that bothers people who judge teams based on the name on the jersey, but it's true. I hate to break it to you, but Georgia will be unranked (and it won't be close) at the end of the year. BG has lost twice this year-once on the road to us, once at home to Memphis.
