"Mississippi tailback Fabian Franklin created a bit of a stir this week when he tweeted out that he was thinking about a commitment. In talking to people close to Franklin this week, the feeling is that Franklin isn't ready to commit anywhere. A likely timetable would be late summer much like his former teammate and Tennessee signee Jordan Murphy.

Tennessee is definitely still a factor with Franklin. He also has interest in LSU who isn't ready to take him right now. Franklin will need to have a good semester and senior year academically but can absolutely make it. Right now his stock however isn't as high as it was last summer.

A couple of schools that seem to be really high on Franklin right now is Michigan and Ole Miss. Remember, Franklin and Robert Gillespie are from the same school and the two have a good relationship."

The relationship with Gillespie didn't really help us out in MS this past cycle. We shall see

Edit: more specifically with the RB position.

Granted, Akers was the top RB in the country it's always gonna be a battle for a #1 kid at any position. This time around hopefully we'll be able to sell Kamara getting drafted highly, a more solid outlook at OL and QB, and solid output from Kelly/CFA/Chandler and seal the deal.

No. 1 RB Fabian Franklin of Hattiesburg High School - The 247Sports four-star hasn't shown much interest so far when it comes to staying in the state for college.

Only thing notable is that his stock has fallen quite significantly since last year. A lot of people are waiting to see what he does on the field this season.

As with most rbs. Their senior season tells the tale...unless they are hurd.

Hope Franklin has a great senior year. With his feeling like Tennessee is home and CRG being from his home town and all that Tennessee offers, Franklin won't forget us.

I'm sure it's just me but he tends to bounce everything outside and didn't see many tackles broken. That style usually doesn't work in college.
