'18 OH LB Xavier Peters

247 put out Tennessee's top 20 wish list and Xavier Peters was the only LB. I know Cam Jones is now a take and will probably end up at LB, but he wasn't on that list. I still think Jones commits, very soon. If Jones does commit, I still think we continue to go all out for X. Peters. But, I think the X-Man may end up a DE, when it's all said and done. If we get him. I can live with OSU getting him, but Kentucky, hell no. I hope u are wrong about that pipeline, MH

Definitely need to start landing more than a couple of good LBs for sure. I sure hope some of the guys other than Kirkland can step up this year.

Don't wanna say it in his thread, but I'm not so sure about Jones going off his highlights alone. Reminds me a lot of Elliot Berry. He's mostly making plays at DE as a guy who's just too athletic for HS OTs to deal with.


(Of course this comes with the caveat that I'm no talent scout and have been wrong numerous times in the past about prospects).

Jones is also like 205 so he will have to develop anyway.

Somebody get Thigpen on the phone and let him know that there has been a Popeye's on Clinton Hwy just past Fenton Nissan and Uhaul for 2 years. After reading that quote, someone needs to let him know.

It is vital to know where the closest Popeye's is at all times.

When I was at UT, my roommate was from Memphis, he would seriously drive to Pigeon Forge every few days to get Popeye's. She must be doing something right with her chicken.

Osu got Mitchell (4/5*) out of VA. I wonder if his commitment helps us out with Peters..

Don't get your hopes up with this one. Pay attention to what Montrell Hardy has been saying with this kid...if he doesn't get an offer to OSU, he will end up most likely at Kentucky. MH knows that area of recruiting very well and what goes on up there...he said Peters' school sends kids to OSU (if they want them), then everyone else goes to UK.

When you are in the military, you learn to like Popeyes. They are on every base. They have a contract or something.

I don't doubt that is true but how many of those kids that were funneled to Kentucky did we really go after?

Vols can and will beat UK in this one.

MH is right but it isn't a 100% lock every time

If Peters is bothering to make a second trip then I think UT has a legitimate shot with Peters.
