'18 OH LB Xavier Peters

If Peters is bothering to make a second trip then I think UT has a legitimate shot with Peters.

Absolutely, but Montrell is very tuned in in that area of the country. He has said things before on kids that did not seem likely, and it turned out to be true. I certainly hope he is wrong on this one, but will not be surprised if Kentucky is where he ends up.

Kentucky has been the leader as it didn't appear like tOSU would offer. Doesn't mean he can't be swayed, but MY is correct, Stools and his staff at UK have a strong presence in Ohio and tend to clean up a lot of tOSU's scraps.

I think Peters is very interested in Tennessee and getting him back on campus is important, the more times the better.

I think it is a situation where Kentucky might statistically do better in getting those players, but as mentioned, how many times are we directly competiting for them with guys from that school? Peters can choose Kentucky or play at Tennessee where the tradition and history is far superior and put his name amongst the legends and great LBs who have played at Tennessee. At Tennessee he can compete for championships, I'm not so sure he can do that at Kentucky. In my opinion, that's an easy sell.

I dont doubt MH, but as has been asked already, how often has UK competed directly against UT, or any other SEC school, for kids from that school? I would suspect playing in the SEC is one of Marrow's selling points. UT can offer that at a better program. And certainly Peters seems interested enough to say he will make anther visit. Unless large amounts of money are changing hands then I have to feel UT has a chance.

Talked to someone close to him over the weekend and for the first time he told me Tennessee has become a big-time factor. Loved his visit last month. It's imperative Tennessee gets him back on campus as soon as possible. Also, I think Cincinnati is becoming a darkhorse as well. He's visited there twice in recent weeks.

Not really a surprise but VQ Podcast today mentioned there are some major grade concerns here. Main reason why OSU hasn't offered. Not really a surprise to me considering his transfer from Middletown to Lakota West. Very well could be someone they try and recruit again in a couple of years.

Ole Miss, Louisville or Auburn involved now?

It's hard to resist playing on Kroger Field.

Lol. I just can't see Ky beating out Ohio state and TN for a player if they really want him. Even with kroger field. Most players that play for ky usually have more of shame at working than Kroger than they do makin the NFL

Peters will have to watch his UK team get whipped by the Vols every year.
