'18 PA JUCO OL Jahmir Johnson (UT signee)

It's seems to me I am the only one here smart enough to understand the Entire workout plan is important. You see if only certain parts of the body is trained then injuries are much more likely because other parts are weak.

It also seems I am only one smart enough to know that a coaches response would be to "get a freaking workout partner" so this trend doesn't continue and he falls further behind in training

But that's ok I fully understand that VN isn't going to say anything negative about any player or coach at this stage. It's just the biased way and I get it.

All you know of his situation is a couple quotes, but you are willing to imply he is a disappointment. We are unwilling to make that leap based on a couple quotes, but we are biased and you are the smart one. :good!: I'll leave you alone now.

Yea and I can't put any blame on him for that

You don't get to apply blame to the kid for anything. You don't know the circumstances at all. You're just assuming things. Maybe he is the one with initiative but the ones around him are selfish. Point being you don't know what's going on with the kid. Move on.

You and DH4 are the only ones who truly understand.

I don’t mean to pile on the kid...but the fact is he may have just relegated himself to a career backup role...he had an opportunity to come in ready and potentially start day one...now it appears he needs as much work in the weight room as your standard true freshman...I fully believe Carvin is physically ahead of him and probably Lane as well...by next year you’ll have those two to go with Johnson and Locklear at guard and tackle could be loaded up with Richmond, Smith, Morris, Wright (fingers crossed) and Tatum...if this kid doesn’t have a monster summer he could miss his window

The kid has 3 years left to play. Even if he doesn't start, every team needs good backups. Ask Bama about Kennedy.

Yes, he has 3 years...but his window to easily cement himself in the starting lineup is right now...and that likely isn’t going to happen showing up at 270

I have a feeling being able to eat properly and have proper strength training, he will be able to bulk up pretty quick. And I thought he said he was 275 or 280, not 270. That's a lot closer to the 290-295 he said they want him at. Did you really think he was going to start over Richmond or Smith this year? I don't think his window ends this year at all.

Edit: He did say 270 trying to get to 295.

Who said Richmond is guaranteed a spot? He’s yet to play to his potential and needs to be pushed or moved.

Exactly... Richmond has yet to come close to playing to his potential and needs to finally step up this year and play like a 5*, not a 3*.... (In before stars don't matter)

I wonder how much he weighs now... I think I read that he came in at 270...it would be nice if he was 285-290 by the start of camp

Edit: just saw my post right above this...came in at 270...hope it’s going as planned and he’s bulked up quite a bit
