'18 SC JUCO DE Dorian Gerald (UT Commit 07/06/17)

I loved these quotes from the 247 article:

"South Carolina is a great school with great coaches. But, I mean, I have to go to the opportunity that’s the highest."

"When I first got the offer from Tennessee, I already knew. My dad’s a Tennessee fan. I prayed long and hard about the two schools, and I know. If God gives it to me, I can’t go against it.”

I love how we have struggled and had one of the worst decades in Tennessee football history, yet we still carry our great tradition and reputation. It's time we get back to the top where we belong!

Love it

"Meanwhile, Gerald has been all about the Vols since his trip to Rocky Top last month. That's when Tennessee won over the JUCO defensive end. He visited South Carolina earlier that week and they did everything BUT roll out the red carpet for him. He toured campus and the stadium with a tour guide. Gerald was less than impressed by that and when Tennessee had the entire staff on him upon arrival and then throughout his visit, the groundwork to steal him away from the Palmetto State had been laid."

So he only toured usc's campus and looked at an empty stadium?

I remember watching a video about how there is a staff dedicated to making sure a recruit never has the same visit to UT twice. They always have a tailored itinerary for each recruit based on what they believe will most impactful. If it is a recruit they really want then it will be all hands on deck.

If Chump truly wanted Gerald and all he did was hand him off to a tour guide then I like our chances with Horn too! Lol.

I am delighted to have him as you can't have too much DL and OL talent, but aren't we maxed out at DE? Kongbo, Phillips, Taylor, Gerald plus the youngsters?

"Who's that guy who gives good tours around here? Shane? Someone get Shane out of class and have him show Gerald around. I've got a coupon for .99 off a Dave's Triple at Wendy's too. Let him have that. Anyone have one of those Free value frosty key chains?" - Champ

Based on his recent interview - his commitment is even more important than what he can do on the field, which is big in itself. He's a class act and personally very mature. He could become a strong team leader with a major influence on the younger guys and with team unity. Really need to get him signed.

I think he injured three players on the first play in that video. Beast.

Fo reelz. Bodies errywhere.

This man gets up field quick. The opposing QBs and RBs don't have time to get away because as soon as they turn around, DG is already up in their binness! I am looking forward to watching him in Orange!

i can't believe how many of those plays he went unblocked....it was like they were tired of trying at some points...lol. dude is quick off the ball.....and he arrives in a bad mood....that's for sure.

Did you notice the one play where the RT actually moved out of his way and just let him through? Slid to his right like there was someone else there to block... then look around like "whut?". Lol

Ya, his film is fun to watch just for the absolutely terrible OL play.

Watch this guys film and tell me there is a better JUCO prospect out there this year? I'd be absolutely stunned if there is one. He has NFL size and his motor and explosion are incredible. He just explodes through ball carries / QB's.

And man look at his offer list since the Spring Evaluation period. TN, Bama, FSU, LSU, UGA, Oklahoma, Florida, Texas A&M. Wont find a better list of offers than that.
