Did you even read the article that you posted? For about the umpteenth time you still have failed to prove without doubt the names of the minors.

"The other two, who were 16 at the time, were convicted of aggravated assault, according to a witness inside the courtroom.

The judge initially refused to disclose the verdict or to allow reporters to cover the trial, claiming that it could harm the now-guilty defendants, who were juveniles at the time of their arrest".

I, and I am pretty sure the rest of VN, want to know one thing.... Is he playing here next fall. Yes or No? Getting way too dramatic about a kid that "May or May not have done something".

How many times has it been said that he is a blue shirt?

I placed the ending of the trial for those who were charged. People are free to make their own decision, the three who were involved were found guilty, also suspended from school.

The point is that is a very serious allegation and the only thing that names him as one of the 3 is an unconfirmed and probably anonymous blog. So at this point he is only rumored to be charged. Unless you know for sure it was him, then it is somewhat irresponsible to state as fact it was him. I'm sure that the school will investigate his involvement and make a decision. I don't know either way. I hope it wasn't him but if it was then maybe he should be turned away. But I am not going to base anything off of that blog. You act like you know for sure but you only seem to be going off of that blog.

You gonna go with none with Brandon Davis too?
I have only heard one rumor that he will be a blue shirt and UT hasn't said anything about him so I'm going to go with, no.
My only point with the above post was we are potentially destroying this guys image before he ever gets here on "hear say". I don't like people bashing kids characters before they give you a "solid" reason to. I understand the association, but if you are wrong....

Do the people that make THE decision base it on the word of a blogger?

That’s up to them, as I’ve said I don’t know. Only thing I do know in this situation is I’ve seen some of the same people crucify someone who did NOT participate in something horrific versus someone who MAY have participated in something horrific. It seems quite a few fell off their high horse...

IF he did, I wouldn’t want him on my team. Just me I guess.

Lol, maybe you should scroll back through my posts about this kid. I've said all i'm going to say about "hear say".

I hope it all works out for the guy.

If we're applying the same level of scrutiny to this kid that we did with Schiano, its not unreasonable to be skeptical of a kid that transferred from a program where hazing was so rampant and out of control kids were hospitalized. I hope to god the kid gets cleared. I love his enthusiasm, but let's not crucify anyone for pointing out the circumstances don't look great.

Pretty much everybody has said if he did it then he probably shouldn't be on the team. But you were originally stating as fact that he did it. That is the problem I had with yer point. Now you are backing off a bit and saying If he did it. If was always the key word.

Schiano was a grown adult man in job of authority and supervision of minors and college athletes. Whether he is innocent or simply at the wrong place at the wrong time is in no way comparable to the actions of minors/juveniles, much more beyond the speculative dung that is being flung online that cannot be substantiated beyond rumor at this time.

Nobody here is condoning extreme hazing, but let the school administration do their jobs instead of making proclamations of circumstances of which we 99% are clueless beyond hearsay.

So no? :)

So we should have taken OSUs word that they did their due diligence on Schiano, right?

I’m not making proclamations of guilt or innocence. I’m pointing out that the same crowd who wouldn’t touch Schiano with a 10ft pole for his proximity to PSUs horror show are now rolling out “innocent until proven guilty” about a sodomy case that there’s pretty much a non-zero chance he was absolutely 100% uninvolved in or uninformed about. We all want it to work for him, but the grief being given to anyone who is uncomfortable with his proximity to this is a bit much (Nancy Drew, really?).

I’m confident in Pruitt and Fulmer’s judgements, but as has been illustrated over and over and over again, collegiate and high school athletics are not the beacon of accountability we want them to be all the time.

I didn’t want the questions for the face of our program. ESPN could and would chip away at him and rival recruiters would take advantage. Are they going to find a way to unseal these court documents to accuse this kid openly? In any case you have one student vs the most important coach in our athletic department scenario. Benefit of the doubt doesn’t run anywhere close.

I don't think the blanket statement of "the same crowd" applies to everyone. I for one didn't want Schiano based on I didn't think he was the right fit for us. but I didn't take to twitter or make any comments for or against him until this post.

Admittedly, that was a little generalized on my part. I lurk here way more than I post, and that was the general feeling I got, but I shouldn't have generalized like that. My bad, y'all.

FWIW given the community response to this whole event, these boys are radioactive down here. Doubt there would be a way for one of the culprits to not be outed in the midst of so much positive publicity. Hope I'm right. This is a wonderful feel good for UT athletics.

In Schiano's case, he was reported to have been a witness to Sandusky in the act since he told another coach (Bradley) in the coach's room about it minutes after he witnessed it. That coach told it to McQueary. When confronted with it all years later the conversations were ruled out by the judge as Schiano denied saying it and other coach denied hearing it. Yet, we know from the victims that rapes were occurring during the 5 years or so that Schiano was there. Draw your own conclusions. But any reasonable person can see why Schiano and Bradley denied it to keep their careers alive. Personally, I'm not buying for one second that a bunch of coaches did not know what Sandusky was doing off and on for nearly two decades in that locker room.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-state-documents-show/?utm_term=.2fd1d4905f21

Add in he is not that good of HC and he has left a trail of disgruntled players in his wake in the past.

The case in question was one incident, committed by underage students, not by an authority figure such as a coach. How one can leap from that to what happened with Schiano is ridiculous. It would be a major stretch to believe that the UTAD and CJP have not vetted the incident. Based on UT's recent lawsuit settlement in the 7 figures for alleged sexual assault victims, I doubt very seriously they would allow a convicted sex offender to be given a scholarship to play football. But they were going to hire a guy alleged to be a potential eye witness and in the middle of the cover up of the worst long running sexual assault event in CFB history; so maybe they would. JMO.

His HS coach said in an interview that Norwood would blueshirt. He said they supported that since it would give him a year to get his body ready to play at the college level.

Sounds like many are getting blue and red mixed up. :)
