He was punished for saying something literally thousands of other college students said. Wasn’t as offensive as what the coaches say during a normal practice. And THAT was what got him suspended one game. Offending people.

I hate America sometimes.

I think it was about how/where he said it. There's a time and place for things.

Winston was in some common area with some non-football player friends and the guys were being college students. They were not intending sexual predation or assault. I just found it sad that he was disciplined for mocking sexual assault and was given a pass for LITERALLY assaulting a woman.

Now he eats Ws.

Fake. Schiano is a good coach but they are trying to help a friend rebuild his brand after what happened. He was never a serious candidate and if he was he walk walk to New England. It's always been someone else's job. That's why it made no sense to randomly throw his name out there then pull it out next day.

Schiano's name is not worthy to be even stated in a UT Vol thread. That Haslam and Currie were lying to everybody and trying to hire him tells you everything you need to know about them as well. But in Jimmy's case, add in intentionally stealing from truckers for years while promoting/enriching the schemers, who are now convicted felons, while they made fun of the victims. So shocked that he would be a buddy of Schiano (sarc). Scum.

Makes any doubts about Mr. Norwood's character seem a bit small.

Completely agree. Had he been named coach, I am not sure that I could have made myself cheer for us all that much.

Is there ANY chance we can stop this subject matter in a signees thread. I know none of the posters here would appreciate this type of talk regarding a child of theirs.
The coaches made their evaluation and the kid is a VOL, I don't understand what good any of you think this is doing.With all this gossip, I believe I may be one of the only guys on this site.:)

ok.......on the subject of Norwood as a player.

What kind of year did he have at Brainerd? I know they were 2-9 on the season, but was he a real difference maker in games. As we all know, great athletes don't always make great football players. Just want some info from someone who has seen him play.....not highlights.

Do you think every coach or scout in College has the ability to physically go to EVERY prospect games??

Why do people even bring this situation up??

Don't use highlights to judge a prospect? Because that guy on film is fake or something???

Guess what...if you watch enough of his highlights...it equals out to 5 minutes of game time.

Oh my God.... a tad to literal maybe???

I should of said, not just highlights. I wanted someone's perspective who has actually been to some of his games. He is from Chattanooga and I'm pretty sure there are one or two people on volnation that have seen him play in person.

BTW...never said a fu&king word about scouts or coaches...wanted regular thoughts from people that have seen him. Get off your high-horse. (oops...you are in LA...figures)
