I think this kid has been a silent committ. Hence the reason why Bama went looking for another OL.

As noted in the War Room last night, Carvin is nearing a decision. Now this morning he told an Alabama reporter that he'll announce Wednesday the 16th. We can confirm that date. Based on all our info, this is really a two-team race and UT remains in great shape here.

Get Jerome into the fold, and then put him on Jordan Davis for the rest of the cycle.

One of the 247 guys said that given we lost two OL this week for the year (one being a likely redshirt anyway in Calbert), made the decision to take a 4th OL a no-brainer. Carvin was always going to be a take for UT anyway.

Especially since we whiffed on our 2nd TE targets, and with little Wolf and Bumphus really coming on - take the other OL if you can get who you want.

The OL and DL that UT has committed right now with the addition of Carvin is unbelievable. The best in my lifetime (46 years) or from when I can remember. They say u have to dominate the line of scrimmage to win in the SEC, well with this class combined with last years, UT is well on their way. Mays, Lane, Antonutti and Carvin, all Tennessee kids on the OL. Litaker, Lawless and Emerson, once again all Tennessee kids. Plus, possibly the best JUCO DE in the country, Dorian Gerald. Just amazing, but I'm greedy and want one more Tennessee kid, DE Jordan Davis. Right now Davis is a Bama commit, but if UT could flip him, this would no doubt be the greatest DL, OL haul in the modern history of Tennessee football.

He should totally do his commitment during the solar eclipse. Put the Vol hat on once it goes dark and wait for the sun to shine on it for everyone to see. Don't get the chance to commit during a solar eclipse very often.

Haha... it sounds funny but I'm actually not kidding.

Yeah it was a done deal when Bama picked up the other kid. Don't know why Bama is even being mentioned as a finalist.Limited numbers and very good OL group instate next year is probably the reason they will probably take Sewell as the last OL. Maybe another if he is an elite kid

It was a done deal when Carvin wouldn't commit to Bama so they had to find another OL. Carvin's been all Vol for awhile.
