My recruitment is going really well, Carvin said. Teams standing out to me right now are Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi State and Arkansas. Arkansas has been coming real hard. Michigan, Auburn and Ole Miss are coming hard, too.
But when it came to a leader, Carvin wouldnt name any schools.
I wouldnt say a leader right now, Carvin said. All those teams are in a battle right now. They all are recruiting hard.
He will take official visits to Tennessee, Mississippi State, Alabama and Arkansas, though. These, to me, are the clear leaders in his recruitment.
They are recruiting me at right tackle, Carvin said. Coach Wells tells me where ever fits me is where they want me. It depends on me. He said I have a great chance to play early, so just have to come in and work.

"First words out of his mouth was TN is coming hard.
Said meant a lot to have Pruitt call him early. Knew him from Bama. Likes Friend as well.
Hopes to commit before signing on the 20th.
Tennessee expected in to see him early in the week."
"I've traded some texts with a contact close to OL Jerome Carvin and he shares that Mississippi State is still very much in the mix. He tells me that Florida does not appear to be a real contender due the proximity from home. Auburn has made a solid impression, but they haven't really pushed for a commitment. I'm told MSU is still the team to beat and that he will make his final decision on December 19th"

UF out and no mention of Vols. Poor MSU lol
he is close with alabama commit jordan davis. They came to tennessee's orange carpet day back in june and continue to discuss their recruitment together. With pruitt being instrumental in davis picking alabama, carvin can see the vols becoming a factor for his friend.
"for sure they will," carvin said. "i have spoken to jordan and he said they are coming hard at him. I think they (have a shot) at him. When i talked to him, he said pruitt was his guy."
carvin will decide over the next 10 or so days between florida, auburn, mississippi state and the vols. Tennessee's limbo-like last month with a lameduck staff put them behind the 8-ball so to speak, but they have quickly re-emerged as a contender for the 4-star lineman.
"they are definitely up there now," carvin said. "i hope to commit sometime before i sign on the 20th. I'd like to commit on the 18th or 19th."
