The Nashville native was in street clothes during Wednesday’s practice and has missed several other days recently, too.

If you have never done anything stupid or wrong in your life then you can do what you want. If you have, then why not take the high road and extend a little grace towards a kid who is dealing with a life altering situation. It's your decision, but the high road makes VN as a whole look like not-douchebags.

I didn't like what he did, and I still don't. It made me wish he had went somewhere else, but he didn't. I never wished anything bad to happen to him though, and I was hoping he would get a real chance to redeem himself since he signed with UT.

I realize that. I should've been more clear.

It sounds like they don't know what is ailing him on his back (muscles, discs, etc). And out indefinitely could be a few days or months or longer. Hence the expression.
