'18 TN OT Max Wray

Sounds like they liked the Ohio St visit a lot.

Per 247:

"Jake went back home with my wife, but Max and I are staying again tonight," father Sam Wray said. "We will probably stop back (at Ohio State) tomorrow morning.

Everything has been very positive. We've had several meetings with Urban Meyer. There are enough positives to keep working on this."

Jake isn't close to selecting a college, but Max is going to wrap things up sooner rather than later.

"Max wants to decide before the start of the football season at the latest," Sam said. "It's Ohio State, Alabama and LSU, mostly those three. And Tennessee is in the mix. But Ohio State has been very impressive. And they need tackles. Ohio State really rolled out the red carpet."

Here is a little more from 247.

"Max was very impressed with Ohio State offensive line coach Greg Studrawa.

"(Max) loved him," Sam said. "He's high energy. He is a great technician. I think he would be a great mentor for my kids."

If Max ends up at Ohio State, a major reason will be Meyer.

"Coach Meyer cares for his kids," Sam said. "He cares about them after football. His football pedigree, winning national championships. Ohio State just might be the best fit of all the schools when it comes to those things."

He gone because of all the great OT we have and going to get. They know how good Cade is and with Trey and Chance he my never see the field for a while. That is one spot where in good shape. Can't win them all🏈🍟

The part that I don't get is the "cares for his kids" part. Cares for them enough to cover up any crimes they commit?? It's common knowledge what was going on at Fla.

Urban Meyer cares for himself.

Yeah that was odd

Yeah that was odd

I think the Wrays should do some research about everything that was going on at Fla while Meyer was there. And everything that goes on wherever Ogre goes.

Basically, if it's REALLY about the coach "caring about the kids", then none of those top 3 should be in the top 3.

Great post. Would have been nice- but OL we are in decent shape there.

He'll dream about you and tell you about it.

Crier is a great coach and recruiter, but he singlehandedly renamed the Fulmer Cup after his 12 month string of 20+ arrests, and harboring a serial killer as well.

From Barton Simmons:

"Tennessee, Alabama, LSU and Ohio State," Wray said on Sunday afternoon. "Those are the four schools that I'm zeroed in on."

By narrowing it to those four schools, Wray plans to take the next few weeks with his family to mull over his options before making a final decision that is likely to come in mid-May.

"I just need to ind the place that's going to make me fulfill my potential the best and where I fit in not only as a football player but as a person too," he said. "I'm looking for like-minded people to me and where I just fit in."

Each of Wray's four finalists has hosted the 6-foot-6, 290-pounder on multi-day visits with his family and he's now seen enough to weigh his options without taking any more visits. Wray touched on each of the four finalists and why they're in the hunt.

"Tennessee, it's just the home town team. They've got a great coach in Coach (Walt) Wells and they're definitely on the rise. It would just be cool to play for my state.

"Alabama is the best in the business. They put people in the league every year. It's the best program with the best facilities and the best coaches.

"LSU is really turning things around and I really believe in Coach (Orgeron), Coach (Matt) Canada and Coach (Jeff) Grimes. (General Manager) Austin Thomas is a big part of that too.

"Ohio State, Coach (Urban) Meyer, Coach (Kevin) Wilson and Coach (Greg Studrawa), they're all great coaches and have a track record of being great coaches. They're a powerhouse like Alabama with great facilities and all the guys are really cool. It's just an all-around great place."
