'18 TN QB/WR Alontae Taylor (UT commit 6/18/16)

Taylor smart for sticking he will be making an impact immediately. Heltin likely gets him involved early on those quick screens etc. move him around like adoree

I'm home for Christmas( coffee county) I'm going by the school to witness this great moment. Then across the street to Freddies for a beer.

Let's go Alontae!!!!!!!!

Please be a VFL baaaaaaaaaabbbbyyy!

He is. He just scheduled his signing for this day in honor of his now-deceased grandmother. He was at Lane’s and Antonutti’s signings i believe. At least one of them...

I’m from Manchester as well. I was driving down 55 on my way to Tullahoma and went right by the high school about an hour ago and saw there were a few cars there. Is that where he’s doing the signing?

This will be meaningless to everyone but me, but I just have to say how noteworthy it is to me that this kids final two schools were Tennessee and Georgia. UGA made a strong push for him late and Smart even basically gave him an ultimatum. Now, with the success UGA is having this year paired with their incredible recruiting class, it would've been so easy for Taylor to do like some others (not naming names) and skip town and ride the bandwagon. Instead, he is choosing to rep his state, and along with Emerson has taken what I call a captains role in the class by peer recruiting.

Its often said that we wish all these kids that play for the Vols success, but without even taking a snap, this kid has earned a huge fan in me, and again while meaningless, I will be rooting for him to fulfill all his academic and athletic dreams at Tennessee.

Oh, and may he catch Jennings-like game winners against UGA the next four years in a row.

The only doubt I had about Taylor leaving the state was if we would’ve made a crappy hire. I know a couple of this guys family members, I work with one of em, and that was 95% of the decommitment. Taylor bleeds orange and wants so bad to see UT back on top very soon.

After we steamroll the ex-Vol commit( name not to be spoken) and recover the qb fumble
