On a similar note, AK didn't really have the body of work to leave early, and he's in the discussion as a possible 1st rd pick. Assuming he stays healthy, Kelly will have an entire season as the unquestioned starter, which AK didn't have.

I think you're right about most positions, but RBs only have so many carries in them, generally speaking. So, it wouldn't surprise me if he left early. The 2018 NFL RB class will be fairly talented with Saquon Barkley, Derrius Guice, Ronald Jones Jr., Nick Chubb, Royce Freeman, Elijah Hood, Sony Michel, etc. I think Kelly is probably the 5th or 6th best RB prospect in that list.

AK was out of eligibility was he not?

He's capable of having a 1300 yd season which would certainly get him drafted. With his running style he'd better served to leave a year early and not risk injury

Nope, he had another year. Redshirted at Bama, rFR year at Hutchinson, rSO year at Tennessee, rJR at Tennessee.

I agree with your reasoning for him leaving. It is why I wouldn't be shocked to see Kelly leave if he has a very good JR year. RBs only have so many carries in them.

We need all the draft picks out of our school we can get to after the past 2 years. We have to reestablish ourselves as an NFL factory for more elite players to come here.
