I for one would rather he commit to tOSU than to UGA, and if that means Knox goes to tOSU then that is better than him being at UF as someone familiar with Knox said earlier in the thread. IF WE CAN NOT GET THE PLAYER, THEN "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" If it keeps good players out of the hands of our completion that we have to play every year and weakens them then that is okay. I would rather these kids be in our shade of orange but I darn sure do not want them in UF orange, or crimson, or whatever crap shade of red UGA uses.

Wish the young man success up there, but he is going into a RB classes that is loaded. Mr Kamara had somewhat the same issue at Bama. Who knows if he sticks up there even. Time will tell.

In my opinion, DE1 Conley is correct when he states that the players see our last 5 - 10 years as a whole and that makes it a bit more difficult for us. But, what bothers me most is that people on the recruiting trail and for that matter on this board, lay the blame t Butch Jones feet. This, to me, is the height of ignorance. Had we struck out this season in the NFL draft, then that criticism would be warranted.

But, I still believe that in the internet era has changed the landscape of recruiting. It used to be that teams dominated recruiting in their own state. That advantage does not exist anymore and has not existed for long time.

Finally, if Master Teague is the only top player from Tennessee that we lose, well we have had an outstanding season. I will take Harris, Emerson, Litaker, Lawless, Warren, Cam Jones and Carvin and be thrilled.

Lies is a strong word...it's not too difficult to imagine a case where Butch isn't here in 2018 or 2019. Much, much harder to do so for Meyer.

We ought not worry too long about Teague. Like Higgins, he's proven himself to be a maleable follower. We will do as good, or better, with the other RBs we're in on. I won't go so far as to wish him success at OSU, but I wish him no harm. After all, few are harmed sitting on the benches on the sidelines in Columbus,OH. And that's where, hopefully, no harm comes to him.

Good post and shout out to Bucksnort! Always made it a point to stop there for gas on trips between Knoxville and Memphis.

He's not the only coach who lies or pays players there is no class in recruiting. Coaches do what they have to to kp that check coming.

No need to bash the kid, if he truly feels tOSU is the best place for him then let him go. He isn't gonna make or break this class.

Where is blaze45? He gave us a lot of bad info. I guess I wouldn't show up either, if everything I said about the kid, was bogus

I wanted him bad but he wasn't a can't miss like Chandler last year. We have other options still available as good or better as Teague. World isn't ending for us.

I think he had higher expectations of the family and thought the the criteria set forth from the family was a sign that OSU was unlikely. Obviously they were easily conned.
