'18 TX DT Otito Ogbonnia (UCLA signee)

idk, figured he would have graduated by now and moved on. Not a concept VN is familiar with.

and that still doesn't change the fact that there is a hard 25. Good players or bad, its 25. we take only the 14 or so we have this year we can still only take 25 next year.

I’m aware. Guess it’s a matter of do we take kids that don’t fit...just cuz? I’ve made points on both sides of this.

Oline is decent. I think solid is a bit strong. I don’t think Tillman is equal to young. Emerson does mean we have a very solid dline class. Secondary class appears very disappointing and during a time when we can’t really afford a disappointing secondary.

Overall: C+ for failing to adequately address needs on the oline and in the secondary

Agree with your assessment overall. Because JP had so much success with the early signing period, I just assumed he’d finish with great momentum with a full month before today...somehow momentum just stalled.

That said, a top 20 class given all things involved is gonna be good, just not great. Concerned with OL (outside of Carvin) and DB....and getting Walker would’ve been great. Let’s see how JP and staff can coach em up and who he brings in for 2019.

Big Otito is a 300lb surfer from Texas?

just bodies no. players we have recruited but aren't as highly rated as the long shots, yes. If they work out great, if they don't work out they don't cost us anything down the road. UT AD isn't exactly strapped for cash at the moment either.

Someone tweeted GBO, and he wrote them back: "We'll see". (I know, big news..)
