'18 TX RB Maurice "Mo" Washington

Thanks. I hope we can get this guy.

Playmaker!

Hold those horses. I had him on my list as scheduled for the January 26th. I don't see him scheduled on 247 or Rivals now, so I may be incorrect.

Edit: Okay, 247 has him visiting this coming weekend of January 19th. They just no longer have it on the timeline calendar. Anyway, there you go.

One prospect who will not visit the Vols this weekend is 3-star tailback Maurice Washington. The Under Armour All-American has no trip planned to Tennessee in the future, either.

Think C'Bo was higher on their board, and we received good news from him. Don't think Grant is a take either.

He probably got scared because Fitzgerald told him he couldn’t skip leg day anymore.

Seriously... look at those twigs.

From DylanVol on VQ

He currently only has OM scheduled, and that's because it seems like Nebraska (who was everyone's pick here) doesn't think he can qualify and has moved on to their next RB. Tough break for the kid if he can't get in anywhere, but some lucky JUCO (or Ole Miss, which I realize is redundant) is going to sign him and he'll get another shot at the bigtime if he keeps working in the classroom.

maybe but you also can't wait until your sr year to start going to school. Maybe 3.5 wasn't good enough to overcome his previous failures

Could be. I was assuming that his prior GPA was enough to pass, up to that point, since he made it to senior year. Don't know what's required, just guessing he didn't hit the 3.5.

Know it's probably harsh to say, but I just don't feel sorry for these kids who can't get their grades up. With what they have at stake future wise.

With that said, I hope he gets to work and gets his grades in order.

It sounds like he did improve his grades quite a bit to even get in these conversations. But it wasn't enough to dig out of the hole he was in. It's hard to judge a kid who moved across the country to try and get out of a bad situation and still couldn't get a ride to school. And no, I don't feel sorry for him, but I do respect him for doing everything he can. A lot of kids would have just given up.
