well, i can say that every time i go back, there is something about coming out of the Gorge and seeing that "welcome to Tennessee" sign....:thumbsup:

'course, it's only about 2 3/4 hours for me to get to the state line. 3 1/2 to Knoxville.

From what has been written about this kid,it appears to me that UT is not going after him that hard.

He will be back at N.C. State next week. He lives in Clayton right outside of Raleigh. Pack should not lose him imo.

Peer recruiting from Pickens and others might get to him. Might commit to SC this weekend but I’m sure this one won’t be over until he signs

Supposed to be announcing today. All of those recent CBs that came in for USCjr have been flipped to NC St. I know we didn't make his top 5, but looks like USCjr will be missing on him, which is good.

Happy with who we landed, but those student mini-riots at the basketball game over Doeren’s potential hiring seems a tad misguided in retrospect.

No they are not. State is getting players due to their down east location and UNC being a dumpster fire. Jackson is a very good prospect, not elite, sort of a tweeter. Joshua Harris will be their big get. Kid wants to stay near mama. Respect that, great kid and good SC isn’t getting him

Tweener? If so they have had success with that recently and likely selling the Chubb aspect. Pretty sure it was Kirby Smart who said Bama passed on Chubb because of his size.

Griddie, ive been out of touch with NCHS Football for a bit now.

What programs dominate now?

And is the overall coaching improving there? When I was coaching there back in 2004. All across the state, teams just ran the football. Hardly any passing except for Butler and Independence in Charlotte.

Basing this off one recruit? Doreen would have been a really bad hire here in this market and atmosphere. He is where he should be. He just pulled a butch jones with his best roster not winning a conference title then tried to find a better job until he realized he couldn't handle our situation.

Dude he had 7 players drafted and went 9-4. He would have been butch jones all over again
