'19 NC DE Savion Jackson

No they are not. State is getting players due to their down east location and UNC being a dumpster fire. Jackson is a very good prospect, not elite, sort of a tweeter. Joshua Harris will be their big get. Kid wants to stay near mama. Respect that, great kid and good SC isn’t getting him

They’re cleaning up, dude. With players ANYBODY would take. UNC has been garbage for years and NC State wasn’t dragging it in. Credit +credit due=Doeren.

Dude he had 7 players drafted and went 9-4. He would have been butch jones all over again

He's done a great job cultivating talent on defense and their recruiting of defensive players has reflected that recently.

He still hasn't shown he'll ever be able to do more than put a good defense on the field, though.

Off the top of my head I don't remember what their recruiting class was like last year but they currently have 1 4 star recruits (jackson) and 10 3 stars. This doesn't mean that those 3 stars aren't talented but I'm am not blow away by the fact they landed one coveted recruit.

The draft classes for them have far exceeded their recruiting classes. That has been pretty impressive imo. Nobody is saying he is better than Pruitt. Just that he has been getting players drafted far higher and far more often than what you would expect at that program.

Who is the DL and secondary coach? I’ll admit they’ve recruited DE and RB very well. The secondary has always over performed compared to recruiting rankings.

They’ve had 8 total 4* and zero 5* recruits in the 6 years from 2013-2018. How is that cleaning up?

How many were drafted though. That is the impressive part. Meh recruiting classes getting drafted much higher than expected.

Griddie, ive been out of touch with NCHS Football for a bit now.

What programs dominate now?

And is the overall coaching improving there? When I was coaching there back in 2004. All across the state, teams just ran the football. Hardly any passing except for Butler and Independence in Charlotte.

Wake Forest, Mallard Creek, Dudley Scotland County, Harding this past year. Butler was good, Richmond County is coming back and had a great fr qb. Depends on what class you are talking about. Overall the state is booming and coaching is very very good. NC’s growth in football has been unreal the past 20 years, but it’s been due to the Panthers and the population boom especially in Charlotte and Raleigh areas

I’m pretty sure Clayton’s coaching staff has a guy who was on NC St staff not long ago too. Plus his teammate is committed to NC St. Savion is an awesome guy. I hope the best for him

Agree and a growing Carolina population along with early signing and a hard 25 scholly count per year is going to be good for UT. I think this staff will pull some of that talent and at the same time it will make it harder on USCjr

I’ve been told he’s a good kid. Clayton is still sort of a small town though it’s grown and like most of the area around Raleigh, just an extension. He wanted to stay home close to mama. Nothing wrong with that at all. State is going to be the huge benefactor of a lot of NC recruits located east of them this class. And with Fedora on his way out, and the common knowledge that his players dislike him, UNC faltering about as much as I can ever remember in the instate recruiting.

Sorry, you are wrong on this one. He’s a good coach and nice guy. He would have been ate alive in the SEC.

It’s an opinion. Can’t prove it wrong...with modern technology. :)
