woodi washington's scholarship total reached double digits.
Although numerous major college programs are pursuing him, washington said ohio state and tennessee are recruiting him hardest, and gave a few thoughts on each.
Ohio state: "i like the atmosphere at games and the way the defense plays," said the 5-foot-11, 175-pound washington. "i also like the way they build relationships.
"(running backs) coach (tony) alford is recruiting me, and he said they want me a lot. I like how we stay in contact and he's also just a great guy."
tennessee: "'i like the atmosphere there, too, and how loud it is in the stadium. It's also an in-state school. I'm excited about the new coaching staff.
"i've talked to (assistant) coach (brian) niedermeyer a few times. He's obviously new, but i'm looking forward to developing a relationship with him."
north carolina was the latest to offer.
"i haven't visited so i don't know much about them," washington said. "but i'm definitely excited to learn more about the football program and academics. I might visit, but not sure when. I'd like to see the football facilities.
"(linebackers) coach (mike) ekeler is my recruiter. He's told me he likes my technique and he's also a great guy. I'm looking forward to getting know him and the other coaches better."
washington, a four-star prospect and no. 14 2019 cornerback in the country according to the industry-generated 247sports composite, hopes to make his commitment during the summer.
Hey BB... I am a secondary coach for a high school and my DC for the school is wanting to overhaul his defense this offseason and he wants to grow his knowledge on different secondary techniques... Is there a fee for coming to Nashville to watch you guys train and coach different techniques... And if you guys do not do that... Do you know of any places that do that we could contact?
I agree. Woodi Washington has the potential to be better than Cam Sutton. And if you know how highly I think of Cam Sutton, that's saying a lot.
Easily the #1 player instate for the class of 2019.
Cam Sutton was one of the most overrated players in Tennessee history. The hype around him was solely because he was the only light spot in very dark times. He wouldn't have sniffed the field playing with the 90-00 Vols defenses or present day Bama.
Don't be ridiculous. You went full D4H in the opposite direction.
Please, tell me what made Sutton so great? He never made big plays in big moments. Remember being up 14-12 a few years back against Alabama and all Sutton (a senior, I think) had to do was win one 1 on 1 matchup vs a freshman Calvin Ridley. He had 2 opportunities and lost them both. Sure he could make HUGE plays against South Alabama and Western Kentucky.

Yet hes started in the NFL for a playoff team that is almost the number one seed as a rookie despite having Willie Martinez and Lyle as his coach.
So he was an overrated 3 star drafted by the Steelers in the 3rd round and has started as a rookie? Got it. Smh at our VN experts.
Sometimes I think they are just saying Cam and Dobbs are overrated because D4H is so insufferable and they don't want him to be right about anything. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like a lot of these type debates start from a D4H post about Cam or Dobbs being the greatest ever 15 years from now. Truth probably is somewhere in between though.
That was Martin
Both gave up 50/50 balls to future NFL WRs on perfectly thrown back shoulder style throws. Whining fans I tell you.
Sutton wasnt healthy for the last two years. IMO
He dominated Laquon Treadwell with no safety help as a Sophomore.
Dominated Demarcus Robinson another NFL WR.
Oklahoma stayed away from him versus us.
Gave up one TD to Malcolm Mitchell then proceeded to decapitate him in the UGA win a couple of years back.
WTH do you people want?
