Happens all the time. Clearly his offer list isn't that long but it does represent some damn good schools...Tennessee, Clemson and Duke isn't too shabby for a QB. And it's only May of his junior season, plenty of time to gather offers and stars...

My guess is he'll land a couple more big offers and many will start to freak out if we don't end up landing him. Same story, different recruit.

in all seriousness, kid looks pretty decent. the competition doesn't look world class, but he delivers the ball, seems fairly physical as a runner, and seems to have decent mechanics.

My point. Bama recruited the likes of Greg McElroy to play behind the elite OL’s they recruited and developed. Won a NC with him while their 4 star McCarron redshirted.

Nobody should worry about QB rankings until at least after all the elite 11 camps are over. QB rankings change so much between now and then.Pretty clear these sites haven't evaluated him seriously because you watch the highlights and it's a no brainer 4 star.

Apparently he ain't on social media. He isn't in the spotlight. Im not sure if he does camps or not. He looks good. Beats you with arm but also can move

Once I realized howell wasnt really pressed by Tennessee and we offered legredre (spelling), I began to understand that our primary target is in the 2020 class. Harrison bailey. So this is actually a smart offer because he may compete for the starting job but will look good to bailey unless his recruitment takes off, rating goes up and bailey doesnt want to compete for the job.

He actually has good film also. Seems more of a dual threat qb but he does have a great presence in the pocket and throw the ball well on the run. He does throw some 50/50 balls whick im not a fan of but overall id say he will be a 4 star when its all said and done.

Baker Mayfield would be the extent of a dual threat QB I'd wanna have.And he only took off when absolutely necessary. None of the top 4 QB's taken this yr ran much if any. It's good to have some mobility in a QB but this offense needs a pass first QB that can stand in and hit his receivers and not take off at the first sight of rushers closing in.

Its only May so it's a little early to say we won't get a top flight QB in this class. This year's class of QB's is the weakest it's been in probably a decade. Not sure there is a *5 QB right now. Although I think JT Shrout has all the tools necessary to be a great QB. 2 of the top 4 QB's drafted weren't highly rated or recruited out of HS. I put very little stock in HS QB rankungs. That's the position that is consistently missed on by these recruiting services and Coach's. Alabama, Florida, USC, Texas A'M and LSU can hold a week long seminar on all the *4 and *5 QB's they have had that ended up huge busts. Blake Barnett, David Cornwell,Cooper Bateman, Ricky Town, Max Browne,Brandon Harris, Hayden Rettig, Anthony Jennings, Matt Davis, Kohl Stewart, Kyle Allen,Kyler Murray...Jerrod Heard, Jacob Park, Drew Barker, Sean White KJ Carta Samuels, Shane Morris, Brice Ramsey, Asiantii Woulard, Jeremy Johnson, Quentin Dormady,Gunner Kiel,
Cyler Miles,Tanner Mangum, Matt Davis, Grayson Lambert,Zeke Pike, Patrick Towles,Jeff Driskel,Kiehl Frazier, Christian Lemay, Max Wittek, Cody Kessler. Those are just a few busts from 2011-2016.

Wake Forest actually beat an SEC team last year, so maybe hold off on saying one of their commits isn’t worthy of being flipped.

You guys do realize that Wake Forest was better than both Duke and UT. For the guy who speaks of Wake like they are a bunch of scrubs. You have to respect that.
