#2 goes down. Bama/LSU rematch??

The scoring difference between Bama and Oregon is 0.0344, which in my opinion, is a small but comfortable margin. I just don't see how 1 more lackluster win in Pac-12 championship game would propel Oregon over Bama. Oregon has little chance to catch Bama in the computer rankings, but maybe slaughtering rest 3 opponents would help in the human polls. As it stands now, I would give Oregon 20% chance to jump Bama if both win out.

The computer margins will stay there, and while Oregon's remaining opponents might collectively be tougher than Bama's, this is the way I see most voters looking at it: They are both one loss, but to the same team, Bama played them much closer and also posted the same record in a tougher conference.

The P12 South and the SEC East are the same-one decent team on top with a bunch of crap from 2-6.

I don't know about that. I can argue Pac12 South has one decent team, which is not even in BCS top 25, while SEC east has 2 pretty good teams, both in BCS top 15. Even though the rest is pretty much even to me.

'Zona is pathetic, and Cal hasn't a QB.

I guess you can't really put any loss past Erickson, though.

You're saying this after they just gave Wazzu their first win in a month and a half.

ASU legitimately has the talent to be 9-1 right now, but they lay an egg every few weeks.

That one team isn't BCS top 25 because it can't be by probation. USC is ranked top 20 in the polls in which they are eligible.

USC would definitely be in there if they weren't ineligible.

SC is crap without Lattimore. I guess they're decent with him, though.

The media will try their damnedest to get Oregon or Oklahoma(providing they beat OK State) to jump Bama, so to limit the SEC's shot at a 6th straight national championship to 50%. Just watch.

No, The media wants an LSU/Bama rematch because it will be a guaranteed lose for the SEC in the NC game. This is what they all want, the SEC finally lose a NC game.

If you turn it on any ESPN channel on a Saturday, you'll be seeing an SEC game. The media is not out to get the SEC, or even Tennessee for that matter (certain commentators, though, are a different story).

How many awful, noncompetitive UT games have been nationally televised this year?

Why are all the games we're guaranteed to be blown out in or lose nationally televised anyways?

Happened in 08 too

Maybe... Maybe that guy was right. Maybe it's a plan by the media to show all of our potential recruits just how much we suck.

It's a conspiracy!!

This has to be a joke.

How do u possibly know that.

Normally I'd agree with you, but not this year. I'm never much for hyperbole, but Alabama this year is arguably in the conversation for the best defense in modern college football history (post-1970).

Just some stats to try and wrap your brain around. At 7ppg and 181ypg allowed, Bama currently has the best scoring defense and total defense in the last twenty years. Beyond that, at 52 rush yards per game and 129 pass yards per game, they also rank in the top 3 in every major individual defensive category in those last two decades.

All that with virtually every starter there projected to be a first day draft pick, there's a good chance this could be the best defensive unit fielded in the life time of anybody reading this.

So instead of having an LSU/Bama rematch from this season, they would prefer an LSU/Oregon rematch?

then bama will jump them if they beat auburn just because sos

Actually Bamas next 2 games wont help their SOS..Both AU and GA Southern suck..Oregon could end up 2 if they win out. No way Bama should play for a NC without even winning their side of the SEC muchless not making it to the SEC Championship

It will be crazy to look in a few years and see so many of those guys littering the NFL.

And, while it may not be as good, they have more freaks to come in the defense. Big time.
