The scoring difference between Bama and Oregon is 0.0344, which in my opinion, is a small but comfortable margin. I just don't see how 1 more lackluster win in Pac-12 championship game would propel Oregon over Bama. Oregon has little chance to catch Bama in the computer rankings, but maybe slaughtering rest 3 opponents would help in the human polls. As it stands now, I would give Oregon 20% chance to jump Bama if both win out.
The P12 South and the SEC East are the same-one decent team on top with a bunch of crap from 2-6.
I don't know about that. I can argue Pac12 South has one decent team, which is not even in BCS top 25, while SEC east has 2 pretty good teams, both in BCS top 15. Even though the rest is pretty much even to me.

The media will try their damnedest to get Oregon or Oklahoma(providing they beat OK State) to jump Bama, so to limit the SEC's shot at a 6th straight national championship to 50%. Just watch.
No, The media wants an LSU/Bama rematch because it will be a guaranteed lose for the SEC in the NC game. This is what they all want, the SEC finally lose a NC game.
If you turn it on any ESPN channel on a Saturday, you'll be seeing an SEC game. The media is not out to get the SEC, or even Tennessee for that matter (certain commentators, though, are a different story).
How many awful, noncompetitive UT games have been nationally televised this year?
How do u possibly know that.
Normally I'd agree with you, but not this year. I'm never much for hyperbole, but Alabama this year is arguably in the conversation for the best defense in modern college football history (post-1970).
Just some stats to try and wrap your brain around. At 7ppg and 181ypg allowed, Bama currently has the best scoring defense and total defense in the last twenty years. Beyond that, at 52 rush yards per game and 129 pass yards per game, they also rank in the top 3 in every major individual defensive category in those last two decades.
All that with virtually every starter there projected to be a first day draft pick, there's a good chance this could be the best defensive unit fielded in the life time of anybody reading this.
then bama will jump them if they beat auburn just because sos
