It's determined by BCS ranking.
Incorrect, just looked it up and it's record within the division. I've got ASU going 1-1 against Arizona and Cal at home (if they go 1-1 it won't matter which one they beat and I'll explain why in a second), UCLA beating Colorado at home and losing to USC on the road, and Utah beating Wazzu on the road and Colorado at home.
If that pans out, that would put ASU at 4-1 against the Pac-12 south, Utah at 3-2 and UCLA at 2-3, in which case ASU gets in. If ASU beats Cal and loses to Arizona, that would make them and Utah tied at 3-2 against the division, but ASU beat Utah.
So, ASU controls their destiny the most of the three.
USC has actually turned into quite a solid team over the last couple weeks, but they can't play for the title.ASU is freaking awful. If they're in the PAC-12 championship game that should be all that is necessary to conclude that the PAC-12 is a joke of a conference.
Really? Granted about LSU and Bama, but you think Arkansas could stop let alone smack around UofO or Stanford? I hate the Ducks and openly admit they would run circles around the pigs. Their pass D is pretty mediocre and Luck would shred them with healthy receivers. They would have to score 50+ to hang with either. The SEC West, on the other hand, has 3 teams that would all put a beatdown on EVERY PAC-12 team.
Right. Nothing says "good opponent" quite like losing to Iowa State.
