Auburn (11-1) vs Missouri (11-1)

Spread doesn't work in the SEC.

Still couldn't get the tough yards against Vandy...

It its a finesse offense. Period. Imagine this scenario: 4TH AND GOAL from the 2 yard line and your offense goes 4 wide?

Ridiculous

Imagine being the defensive coordinator against a team on 4th and 2 who has you spread out like that.

I can't wait for the 2015 or 2016 season just so I can bring everything back up you've ever said.

You never have anything positive to say, which is fine, but not if you're consistently doing it in a demeaning, degrading sort of way. You're a troll imo

an inferior talented team cannot shove a bigger and more athletic team around, but they can make them play the whole field on d in a spread type offense and win games that were years ago not winnable by playing standard offensive sets.
Just so happens the Bama dynasty has been beaten twice in the last few years. Both by spread teams with qb's that can run.

Your facts will not convince me that it's not a gimmick.

Alabama has won 3 of the last 4 national championships by running a more pro style offense.

The problem with the spread offense is when EVERYONE starts doing it or playing against it. Once that happens there will be some "new" type of offense. I just hope TN gets on the front end instead of the back end of that "new" offense.

It's not even worth arguing with that dude...The only football he must watch is on the History Channel if he hasn't noticed teams going 3-4 wide inside the 5 yard line. Most 2 point conversion formations spread you out as well. The days of the power I, Maryland I or triple wing have been phased out in favor of yanno, actually making the defense defend.

Makes me wonder if he thinks that new fangled 3 point shot that 6'9 power forwards from Europe are taking have ruined Dr.Naismith's great game.

sc, auburn, fla, ut, a & m, mizzou, vandy, ole miss, ms st...they all run a semblance of it. Bama even added a little the last few weeks. Arkansas has Chaney. Ga will be running it soon with Murray gone.

It's not a finesse offense by any means. Auburn averages 300+ yards rushing a game. We didn't get the yards not because of the offense but because we didn't execute. Hell Florida picked up many short yard plays in their championship years with the spread. It's a finesse offense if you have a finesse mentality.

The offense is fine. It's the athletes, or rather lack thereof, that couldn't get the tough yards vs vaginabilt.
