'20 TN SG Keon Johnson (Tennessee commit 8.6.19)

From Rob Lewis
Since someone asked me about Keon in the chat and an injury, reached out to him, he told me he tore his meniscus. Not a big deal as far as his Tennessee career goes but unfortunately could really put a dent in what would have been a really special season for him as a senior.
(sorry if posted b4)

I bet he never plays another game in high school. I know it's not a big injury long-term, but too much of a risk to come back too early.

If it’s not a complicated miniscus problem (I’m not a Dr and don’t claim to know anything about his health), there would be ample time to recover from a minor repair to allow him back for the playoffs IMHO

I had a big meniscus tear at 24 and wss on crutches for a month and took about 6-8 weeks to get back into physical activities. However, that knee has given me no problems for 20 years now. He'll be good to go after recovery.

Parents say he's coming back for playoffs
As a Vol fan, I hope he just rest and recuperates. The effort he put in over this summer had to be rough on his body. If he returns he's likely going to be putting in the same type of effort without a training staff and facilities like UT has. There is a reason LeBron spends so much on his body and why everyone is telling Ja Morant to calm down and protect himself.

Did a lot for Lamonte’s shoulder.

Just heard that Keon is not coming back for his high schools playoff run. Probably the smart move but I hate it for him and his teammates. They have a pretty good team without him but not good enough to win a title.

They play in a pretty weak division, I would not count them out but I agree it's unlikely that they win without him.
