vs. Cal - W
Tedford's team puts up a good fight but ultimately Cal has a few too many leaks on offense to take the W on the road, while Tennessee's offensive woes are much more easily repairable. That is, whip their arses into shape.
vs. Air Force - W
C'mon
vs. Florida - W
Anybody else noticing the problems Meyer is having off the field? Urban Legend experiences a tougher transition his sophomore year with the Gators. Crocs become the victim of highway robbery in Knoxville
vs. Marshall - W
Flying high off the win against Florida, the guys start off slow against the Thundering Herd and are shocked after being down in the first half. Talent prevails though, and Tennessee comes back to win by two TD's.
@ Memphis - W
Road scariness is taken away... I'm sure the Vols would get a 40%-ish home crowd at Tiger High. Not that bad of a trip, right? DeAngelo Williams is still shamed by pussing out of the '05 game vs. Tennessee. Poor sap could have won the game for the Tigers.
@ Georgia - L
Richt seems to have the Shockler moving along at a nice pace, along with just about every other phase of Georgia's game. Ainge repeats with another brilliant performance in Athens but the Vols d-line gets ganked and UGA just scores too much to overcome.
vs. Alabama - W
Alabama's offense still sucks. The defense still plays nasty but probably have lost their will at this point in the season. Tennessee pulls away and pads the score late in a pretty big win...
@ South Carolina - L
Man, who saw last season coming from the other USC. Make no doubt about it, Spurrier's talent pool last year was quite literally on the same level as that of Vanderbilt and Kentucky, yet he put the Cocks in the top half of the SEC East. I hate to say it but Spurrier owned the SEC before, and it looks like he is back to do it again. Not this year but South Carolina will be scary. Vols lose in OT.
vs. LSU - L
Bayou Bengals STILL wondering how they lost to us last season. Tiggers rally and steal one on the road.
@ Arkansas - W
Pass the bacon.
@ Vanderbilt - W
Short of Vanderbilt sneaking Cutler back on the field, nothing else needs to be said.
vs. Kentucky - W
HA
9 - 3
Vols bat just .500 in SEC, but a nice non-conf win against Cal and a still-decent looking team leads to an easy win in a mid-level Bowl game. Vols go 10-3.
Uh, Milo. That prediction has UT at 5-3 in the SEC.(milohimself @ Mar 26 said:I got:

I'm gonna be so pissed next yeat if we go 6-6 and I have to read posts from U-T saything that CPF should not be fired becasue he turned it around by leading us to a 6-win season and a trip to the Shreveport Bowl.
Time to cut that meat. Huh?(kiddiedoc @ Mar 26 said:Seeing as to the worth of preseason predictions (especially in college sports) -- e.g. the Riggs Heistmann and National Championship talk of '05. . . .
I'll go with 10-2. If Cut gets Ainge's head on straight, the running game continues to build on late flashes of excitement from last season, TT puts the fire to the receiving corps, the O-line gets their fat-arses into shape, and the defense fills a few holes with stepped-up young talent. . . . .who knows??? That's a lot of "if's," but the heat is on in the Big Orange Kitchen, and the Head Chef knows it's time.
