FL will throttle HA, esp a HA w/out CB. i'll go on record right now and say if FL loses to HA in the swamp next year that will be as big an upset as Appy st over Mich this year.

Not as big as Appy St...but it will be interesting seeing these SYSTEM qb's go at it :)

the defense had more to do with it than the offense. couldn't stop LSU on 5 4th down plays.

couldn't stop Auburn's running game

GA and Moreno shredded the FL defense.

not trying to be a spread offense or LG apologist, but the offense didn't lose any games this year.

I was basically going to say the same thing. I think Florida scored over 30 points in every game it played last year. It wasn't offensive production that was the problem.

You are correct. Scored over 30 in all but two, and those were Auburn (scored 17) and LSU (scored 24). Thing is, in those two games the total margin of loss was just 7 points.

What is interesting about that, of course, is that those two teams had by far the best defenses we played. In fact, Auburn held their SEC opponents to the following: 19, 17, 7, 7, 30, 3, 45, and 10. The 45 was UGA, after their miracle transformation.

Point is, UF's offense will put up plenty of points next year, more than enough to win each game. It will be a question of whether the defense can force some punts and some turnovers.

LG you've really been teetering on going over the edge lately, but you normally know a lot about football. Surely you don't think the all great "spread offense" is going to last do you? It won't make an average RB anything more than an average RB. if you think differently you really need to have your head examined and i'm taking a mental note that if I'm ever in Orlando and need a lawyer I'm paying the extra cash and calling someone up from Miami.

The spread offense is going to last. It may not always be used in the SEC, but there are schools that are going to use it. As for running backs, Urban Meyer's RBs I don't think have ever excelled, but Steve Slaton is doing pretty well for himself. Anyway, with the play he's gotten out of Josh Harris, Alex Smith, and Tim Tebow, he'll only need a mediocre running back to be successful. As for Moody, if he can avoid fumbling, I think he'll get his chance to play. I think Urban doesn't really trust Moore with the ball.

Florida will be crazy good next yr...they have the best player maker in the nation that not everyone knows about in Harvin...Florida has the best two players to run the spread offense...and their defense will improve drastically...I think Florida will trample over a lot of good sec teams next year.

Florida will go undefeated, with the Tennessee game being the biggest toss up of the group. Tennessee will lose 1 regular season game if luck plays no part.

After what we have seen this spring, is it still a toss up, or will tennessee beat florida?

It's a toss up, regardless of what Law thinks. He doesn't consider losing their top pass rusher and a couple OL a question mark, I guess.

Not to mention Moody hasn't exactly blown up at RB. Our secondary will be the best in the SEC and one of the top 3 in the country. Our front seven will surprise a few people, at least early on. We have alot more potent pass rush. Our offense lost a couple key players but added alot of depth and experience. It's much more of a tossup than it was last year.

And yes, money will be put down on the UF/UH game next year.
