A lot of people reporting it now. Guessing he wasn't the most popular choice down there?

Latest is blake anderson is still a strong canidate(my choice). But, johnsOn does not like hurry up offense and has already talked bad about it. Southern fans fear he will be another jeff bower snd run pro style 3 and out offense them rely strictly on the defense. Part of me says hes a good hire, because it should be his last stop. But part says no because hes just so damn old. Ill be all for him if he hires a OC who runs spread

Losing Johnson will hurt, but losing his in-state connections maybe the biggest blow. He did a good job of recruiting SC talent.

Updated USM (Ellis Johnson) and Hawaii (Norm Chow).

That leaves Akron, Houston, Penn State, and Pittsburgh.

Scott Loeffler is still the hot name at Akron, and Mario Cristobal at Pitt. Cristobal has declined to discuss any openings until after FIU plays their bowl game tonight.

Sonny Dykes is reportedly staying at Louisiana Tech, effectively taking his name out of the race for the Houston job.

Looks like Wisconsin OC Paul Chryst to Pitt. And Houston has promoted from within, naming ST coach Tony Levine head coach.

PSU is the last man standing, and from the looks of it, they'll be coachless for a few more weeks.

They are just going to have to hire either a D2 coach with success (like tO$U), or hire some big time recruiting position coach like Ole Miss did with Orgeron. Nobody that has a future at a BCS job in five years is taking that job.

See I don't get why they HAVE to get a D2 coach or some stud recruiter. I mean there is no NCAA violations or punishments coming. The only thing surrounding this school is a criminal investigation into people who are no longer on staff. If a coach really wanted to make a big career move this would be it. My best friend's father is a grad a Penn State and she says that he along with some other friends he graduated with were heart torn over this whole thing and want to move on. That seems to be the whole attitude towards the fanbase:"To Move On."

All a coach would have to do is meet with JoePa and get a vote of confidence from him and go from there. The base loves JoePa and wants to move on. I just think that recruiting is suffering simply by not having a coach in place for the long haul.

They just don't strike me as the type to go big with a hire. If I were a PSU fan, I'd be pissed if they ended up hiring Bradley.

See UTC, I think Bradley is the safe hire. When fans of PSU look at it, and even me, I think and believe they want continuity with the program. Many feel JoePa lost his job without going through the right process. I feel like this a little bit just because the PR of the board the night they fired JoePa was so crappy and horrible.

I even asked my friend's daddy and he said that he remembers Bradley as a fan friendly assistant when he was in his twenties at Penn State. I do think Bradley shares the feeling of a lot of alum and current students: To Move Forward. I think Bradley has the resume for a head coaching gig at a top school like this. I still think this is a top job. I don't get how a criminal investigation would make any coach not think Penn State is not a top job to take.

So now its up to the decision makers to decide: Bradley has the resume to be a head coach candidate, but do we place him "guilty by association" since he was part of JoePa staff.

The NCAA has basically come out and said "Oh, we can make rulings on criminal investigations too". That's why nobody is touching the job.

Then why have there no whispers or anything brought up from the NCAA on this. Even when this happened in the season multiple people on ESPN said the NCAA won't have a reason to punish the school whn a criminal investigation is the prevailing authority.
