2012 GOP Nomination

there's no doubt about that.

if Christie runs, they will make his weight an issue

haha. no doubt. There is always outrage to be found. You'd think our country would be more comfortable/content with a fat man in office - it'd be a more direct representation of our populace.

Christie cannot win. He has no tolerance for the incendiary attacks on the Muslim community and has said so.

Therefore, cannot win GOP nomination.

You overestimate intolerance for Muslims in the GOP and underestimate their desire for fiscal responsibility.

Christie is wildly popular among Republicans and maybe more importantly he's popular at Fox News.

I know. Just yankin the chain if certain folks literally obsessed with hating Muslims. They know who they are.

I for one would not mock Christie for his weight. Iirc he had some sort of health issue in last month or so. Might cause some concerns, depending on who his vp choice might be.

there's no hope for some

Intrade odds:

Romney - 40%
Perry - 35%
Huntsman - 6%
Bachmann - 4%

Obama to be re-elected: 50%
Republicans win control of the Senate: 67%
Republicans remain control of the House: 66%

pretty strong switch by Romney/Perry. Not too long ago Perry had a decent lead here. Not sure the explanation for this

not good if Perry still leads in GOP polls. I've said it before. Perry will lose to Obama. The only candidate that can win the general election is Romney. He might not be my first choice, but he's got to be the guy

The GOP should focus more resources on the Congressional elections. If the GOP can control both houses, they can temper future legislation favored by Obama or any RINO.

Yeah. Maybe if ol' Woodrow were alive he'd make the perfect Dem nominee, huh?

You guys are incredible with the race baiting sometimes. I mean really... you ARE the cause we can't fully reconcile. I run into very, very few conservative unwilling to treat people as equals regardless of race.

You must live in a pretty tight bubble.

Anyone willing to trust one party more than another is kidding themselves - all politicians in the modern era are slaves to special interest. You come second to $.
