I honestly think Goodman didn't think Memphis beat anyone to deserve a top 25 ranking. But, that has nothing to do with Josh's coaching abilities. There is a huge difference.

As compared to the amount of talent that he has recruited, Josh has not done well with the NBA. That is in comparison to the other coaches who recruit Top 25 talent.

I am not getting caught up in this- just stating my opinion. These things get hashed and rehashed so much. To be honest, with regard to Memphis, things are not as rosy as a Memphis fan believes and not as bad as a UT fan would have you believe. JMO.

I don't use it in Court. It can lead to important misunderstandings. It's nice to meet another attorney on the board, though.

Fair enough. But I never said it was used in court. It can be used alot in negotiations and discussions to get across a point. I understand that about using it in court. Attorneys like to exaggerate things for the benefit of the client.

I challenged you to compare Memphis roster by rivals rankings to the other teams listed in the top 10. As I told you, my quick search has them top 5...so you can agree with that or research it yourself and come to the same conclusion.

I can't give you an answer because I don't really believe that Memphis is ranked lower than their talent level. They are commensurate with their talent level, it appears.

So I'll take a shot in the dark here:

Are you arguing that on virtue of the 2013 recruiting class, Memphis has top 3 talent? Just becuse we had a top 3 recruiing class?

Or are you saying that Memphis has top 3 talent because of recruiting rankings that were put together up to 4 years ago before any of these kids played a college game?

Either way, I'd take the opinion of an analyst that was formed a few days ago regarding relative talent on each team, than the opinions of analysts formed 4 years ago befor these kids have even played a game.

More along the lines of talent on Memphis' roster, when they were signed.

So in other words, look at the rotation guys for Memphis, get their recruiting rank, put it all together, and compare it to other teams.

Their rotation has top 5-8 talent (at the time each player signed) in the country. Now, if you wanna say, oh Joe Jackson was overrated then that's fine. However, you said the only guys overrated were Thomas and Kendrick, two guys no longer there.

So, if you think all the rankings were accurate, but say that this new talent evaluation is correct...where did the change occur? Did Pastner not develop the guys like Joe Jackson, and Chris Crawford to the level expected? Or were some of the current roster members overrated coming out of high school?
