Four star Nichols talks Vols, recruiting
anyone want to summarize?
I just watched a few highlights on this kid. One thing that strikes me is how long his arms are. Get him in a college weight program and this kid will be a great defender and help side shot blocker for us. His moves didn't impress me too much, but I believe CCM could develop that.

After watching him play several times i feel that Austin plays like he's a PF or a C, but he has the size of a slender college SF. Various recruiting sites list him between 6'7-6'9, but he looks like he's about 6'7 IMO. One thing for sure is that he needs to put on weight if he's going to play in the paint.
He'll get more playing time at UT, he's not big enough to play the post at Duke nor does he have the outside shot to play the wing.
Not saying Coach K will pass on him, just wondering how he will utilize Nichols. The only thing Nichols has in common with Singler is size; Singler could score from anywhere on the court and Nichols is effective in the post. You're not going to see Nichols shooting 3's or taking defenders off the dribble from beyond the 3pt line.If your thinking they'll pass on him and font want him you're dead wrong, coach k wants him bad. He's around the same size as singler who played alot of 4, and Austin is only 17 he could grow in the next year and a half.
